Conventionally, when applying vulcanized rubber, so-called solution-type adhesives or cyanoacrylate adhesives, which are made by dissolving natural or synthetic rubber and various additives in organic solvents, are often used as adhesives. . In addition, when bonding vulcanized rubber to concrete, metal, or other adherends, a method using an epoxy resin or urethane resin adhesive in combination with a primer containing a graft copolymer according to the inventor's invention (patented) No. 1045714). However, when adhering vulcanized rubbers together or adhering vulcanized rubbers to concrete, metal, or other adherends in water, the above-mentioned adhesives cannot of course be used. Only underwater curing epoxy resin adhesives can be used for underwater bonding of concrete, metal, etc., but this has the drawback of poor adhesion to vulcanized rubber. Therefore, it is impossible to bond vulcanized rubber underwater, despite recent remarkable developments in the fields of marine civil engineering and architecture, and at present, vulcanized rubber is only physically bonded. If it were possible to bond vulcanized rubber underwater, it would revolutionize construction methods not only in the fields of marine civil engineering and architecture, but also in a wide range of fields, such as waterproofing in tunnels, and would greatly contribute to industry. The biggest reason why regular vulcanized rubber cannot be firmly bonded not only to underwater-curing epoxy resin adhesives but also to general-purpose epoxy resin adhesives is the polarity of the vulcanized rubber and epoxy resin adhesive. The difference is that the adhesive is difficult to wet due to the large difference in the From this point of view, the present invention aims to provide a method for adhering vulcanized rubber in water using an underwater curable epoxy resin adhesive.

That is, in the present invention, the surface of the vulcanized rubber is treated by applying a treatment liquid containing a halogen cationic compound directly or after buffing, and then the vulcanized rubber is treated using an underwater curable epoxy resin adhesive. It is used to bond vulcanized rubber to concrete, metal, or other adherends. Furthermore, in order to maintain the treatment effect, after applying the treatment liquid and leaving it for a predetermined time, general-purpose epoxy resin, polyurethane resin, acrylic resin, vinyl chloride resin, vinyl chloride-vinyl acetate copolymer resin, vinyl chloride-vinyl acetate - A solution containing a maleic anhydride terpolymer resin, a vinyl acetate resin, etc. may be applied to the treated surface of the vulcanized rubber and dried and cured. The treatment effect of the vulcanized rubber pretreated by this method is effective for a long time, so it can be stored and used for bonding as needed, making the bonding work easier and less costly. The above is very effective.

The halogen cationic compound mentioned in the present invention is a compound that generates a halogen cation alone or in a suitable solvent. Examples of halogen cationic compounds include halogens such as chlorine, bromine, iodine, and iodine chloride, hypohalous acids such as hypochlorous acid, sodium hypochlorite, potassium hypochlorite, and calcium hypochlorite. Hypohalites such as (bleaching powder), hypohalous acid esters such as t-butyl hypochlorite, N-haloamines such as monochloroamine, N-monochloromethylamine, N-monochloroaniline, N-chloroacetamide , N-haloamide or N-haloimide such as N-chlorourea, N-chlorosuccinimide, N-bromosuccinimide, N-chlorophthalimide, trichloroisocyanuric acid, sodium dichloroisocyanurate, potassium dichloroisocyanurate, etc. be able to. The surface treatment method for vulcanized rubber is usually to apply a treatment solution containing the above-mentioned halogen cationic compound with a brush, or to immerse it in the treatment solution and leave it to dry in air. If necessary, active hydrogen compounds such as water, alcohols, carboxylic acids, and amines may be added to the treatment liquid.

The vulcanized rubber used in the present invention is a crosslinked rubber obtained by adding various rubber additives to known natural rubber or synthetic rubber. Examples include natural rubber, polyptadiene rubber, styrene-butadiene copolymer rubber, Polyisoprene rubber, nitrile rubber, chloroprene rubber, ethylene-propylene copolymer rubber,
It is a crosslinked product of ethylene-propylene-diene monomer ternary copolymer rubber, butyl rubber, etc. alone or a mixture thereof. The above-mentioned halogen cationic compound adds electrophilic properties to the non-conjugated double bonds remaining on and near the surface of the vulcanized rubber, and as a result, the surface tension of the vulcanized rubber increases, making it wettable by the underwater curing epoxy resin adhesive. This makes it easier to bond and improves adhesion.

Furthermore, when a solvent-type polyurethane resin adhesive shown in (3) was applied instead of the general-purpose epoxy resin adhesive and stored for one year, the peeling force was 10 kg or more and the rubber broke.

[B] Adhesion to concrete The water-curable epoxy resin adhesive shown in (1) is applied in water to the clean concrete surface after removing the deposits on the surface, and after treatment with a 3% solution of trichloroisocyanuric acid in ethyl acetate. The above vulcanized rubber, which had been coated with a general-purpose epoxy resin adhesive and stored indoors for one year, was bonded together. A peel test was performed 48 hours later, but the rubber was destroyed and peeling was impossible. Peeling force over 10Kg. If stored for one year without applying general-purpose epoxy resin adhesive, the peeling force will be 4 kg.
It was peeled off from the rubber interface. Furthermore, when completely untreated vulcanized rubber was used under similar bonding conditions, it was easily peeled off from the rubber interface with a peeling force of 1 kg.

[Claims] 1. After the surface of vulcanized rubber is previously treated in air with a treatment liquid containing a halogen cationic compound, the vulcanized rubber is treated with each other in water, or the vulcanized rubber with concrete, An underwater adhesion method for vulcanized rubber, which is characterized in that when bonding metals or other adherends, an underwater curing epoxy resin adhesive is applied to both or one side of the adherend. 2. After the surface of vulcanized rubber has been previously treated in air with a treatment liquid containing a halogen cationic compound, it can be further bonded to the treated surface with a water-curable epoxy resin adhesive such as a general-purpose epoxy resin or polyurethane resin. When applying a coating agent containing resin and bonding the vulcanized rubber to each other in water, or to the vulcanized rubber to concrete, metal, or other adherends, use underwater curing epoxy resin adhesive on both or one side of the adherend. An underwater adhesion method for vulcanized rubber that involves applying a compound and bonding.
