Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the mixing of air into a bond area and hence obtain stable bonding force by bonding an article to be bonded with a tape with a bonding agent inside a vacuum chamber. CONSTITUTION:An IC guide A17a and an IC guide B17b are placed in an ambient atmosphere and an IC 6 is introduced into a vacuum chamber 12. An IC guide C18a and an IC guide D18b are in the vacuum chamber 12 and the IC 6 is introduced into a bond area of a tape 5. An IC stopper 19 positions the IC 6 which drops by its weight at a bonded position. A gate A20 is in close contact with the vacuum chamber 12 and opens and closes in order to introduce the IC 6 in the air into a spare vacuum chamber one by one. A gate B20b opens and closes so as to isolate the spare vacuum chamber 25 from a vacuum chamber 26 or communicates to connect the chamber 25 with the chamber 26 and position the IC 6. A gate C20c is arranged to stand by in the vacuum chamber 26 and carry out ON/OFF operation vertically in order to feed the IC 6 swiftly to the bond area. The gate A20a and the gate B20b are opened and closed alternately, thereby maintaining the vacuum chamber under vacuum state constantly.

Since the conventional adhesive tape bonding device is configured as described above, the above operations are performed in the air, and therefore air may be mixed in between the resin and the adhesive tape at the bonding part. NA・RU1゜ Macroscopically it looks like the entire surface is bonded, but microscopically it looks like there is net bonding, but microscopically there are few masonry blocks that are actually bonded.
Moreover, there is variation. Therefore, there were also variations in adhesive strength. The occurrence of such variations may cause peeling or misalignment during transportation, and troubles during mounting of the IC on the circuit board. That is, it is difficult to control the force with which the tape is peeled off, and positional deviations occur.
