A conventional rotary switch will be explained with reference to FIGS. 1 to 4. Reference numeral 1 denotes a switch body made of an insulating material such as synthetic resin, which houses parts to be described later.
Reference numeral 2 denotes a cam, which is integrally formed by vertically stacking a switch operation cam part 2a and a positioning cam part 2b. The switch operation cam part 2a has cam surfaces 2a 1 , 2a 2 , 2 for operating four movable terminals to be described later.
a 3 and 2a 4 , and the positioning cam portion 2b has a curved tip and a star shape. Reference numeral 3 denotes a rotating shaft that passes through the center of the cam 2 and is fixed to the cam 2. The rotating shaft 3 is connected to the hole 1a of the main body 1 and the lid 1 which will be described later.
It is inserted into the hole 12a of No. 2 and is rotatable. 4 to 7 are movable terminals, contacts 4a, 5a, 6
a, 7a, and some protrusions 4b, 5b, 6b,
7b. These movable terminals 4 to 7 are housed in the main body 1 so that their protrusions 4b, 5b, 6b, and 7b operate on the cam surfaces 2a 1 , 2a 2 , 2a 3 , and 2a 4 of the cam 2, respectively. ing. 8 is a fixed terminal, and the contacts 4a, 5a of the movable terminals 4 to 7,
Contact 8a (partially not shown) opposite 6a and 7a
have. Reference numeral 9 denotes an insulating plate, which has a hole 9a slightly larger than the positioning cam part 2b of the cam 2, and is brought into contact with the upper surface of the switch operation cam part 2a. 10 is a rectangle-shaped movable piece whose upper and lower width dimensions are approximately the same as the upper and lower inner diameters of the main body 1;
The left and right width dimensions are set smaller than the left and right inner diameters of the main body 1. Therefore, the square-shaped movable piece 10 is arranged to slide left and right. Two recesses 10a are formed above and below the left end surface of the square-shaped movable piece 10, and a circular arc-shaped projection 10b is integrally formed on the left inner surface. 11 is a coil spring, and the recess 1
0a so as to constantly press the movable piece 10 to the right. Also, at this time, the circular arc-shaped protrusion 1
0b comes into contact with the positioning cam 2b. 12 is a lid that closes the upper opening of the main body 1.

slides to the left while compressing the coil spring 11. In the position shown in FIG. 2, the coil spring 11 is in its maximum compression state. When the ridge 2b 1 passes the apex of the arc-shaped protrusion 10b, a force is applied to the arc-shaped protrusion 10b to move to the right side due to the elastic force of the coil spring 11, and the ridge 2b 1 and the circle Solitary protrusion 1
A sliding force acts between the curved surfaces of 0b, causing the positioning cam 2b to rotate. At the position shown in FIG. 3 at the end of rotation, the coil spring 11 is in a minimum compression state.

An embodiment of the present invention will be described below with reference to FIGS. 5 and 6. Items with the same symbols as conventional ones indicate the same items. The difference from the conventional one is the recess 1 of the square-shaped movable piece 10.
A thin wall portion 10b is provided below the thin wall portion 10b, and a coil spring receiving portion 1c is provided below the main body 1 corresponding to the thin wall portion 10b, and the coil spring receiving portion 1
c and the thin wall portion 10b are arranged so as to overlap each other within the entire sliding range of the rectangle-shaped movable piece 10.
