Claims

[Claims for Utility Model Registration] A supply mechanism for supplying a base paper having a printed surface, a first conveyance means for conveying the base paper supplied from the supply mechanism, and a transfer device containing a transfer material to be transferred to the base paper. a second conveyance means for conveying a medium in one direction; and a base paper conveyed by the first transfer mechanism and a transfer medium conveyed by the second conveyance means as part of the first conveyance mechanism. On the other hand, a transfer mechanism is provided with a printing head which is movably disposed in a superimposed state or an open state and prints necessary visual information, and the printing head is pressed to transfer the base paper and the transfer medium to the first transport mechanism. What is claimed is: 1. A transfer printing apparatus comprising: a head pressing means for closely polymerizing the printing head; and a control section for detecting the superposition state of the transfer mechanism and controlling drive of the printing head based on this detection.
