Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain an inexpensive ceramic heat exchanger excellent in corrosion resistance by providing sufficient thin-walled titanium pipes and insertion holes for plate fins made of ceramics with a specific clearance, brazing and joining the titanium pipes to the plate fins. CONSTITUTION:In a heat exchanger provided with plate fins 1 made of ceramics and titanium pipes 2, the clearance between the titanium pipes 2 and insertion holes 4 for the plate fins is provided so that the titanium pipes 2 may be closely adhered in brazing and heating without applying a stress to the insertion holes 4. Thereby, the plate fins 1 made of ceramics are prevented from breaking. The titanium pipes 2 are pulled with a brazing material 3 and plastically deformed in cooling after the brazing to prevent the plate fins 1 from breaking by brazing the titanium pipes 2 of a sufficiently thin wall relatively to the thickness of the plate fins 1 to the plate fins 1. Excellent corrosion resistance similar to that of all ceramics can be imparted by using the titanium pipes and brazing can be simultaneously carried out using ordinary silver solder.

The seedlings had a thermal expansion coefficient close to that of ceramics, and silver solder containing titanium had to be used for brazing the metal tube and the ceramic plate fin.

(Problem to be Solved by the Invention) However, in the above-mentioned conventional technology, even if the thermal expansion coefficients of the metal tube and ceramics are similar, if the metal tube has a large yield strength, it is difficult to use the ceramics during brazing heating or cooling. The stress acting on the fins and metal tubes could not be alleviated because the metal tubes are difficult to plastically deform, resulting in cracks in the fins. Therefore, in this case, there is a problem in that no matter how good the material of the metal tube is in corrosion resistance, it cannot be used.

(Means for Solving the Problems) In order to achieve the above object, the present invention is provided with a plate fin made of ceramics and a titanium tube, in which the clearance between the titanium tube and the insertion hole of the plate fin is increased. , the titanium tube is provided so as to be in close contact with the insertion hole without applying stress during brazing heating, and the plate fin is joined to a titanium tube having a sufficiently thin wall relative to the thickness of the plate fin by brazing. It is said that

) and the insertion hole of the ceramic fin (1) is such that when the titanium tube (2) is brazed and heated, it expands and comes into close contact with the insertion hole (4) of the ceramic fin (1) without applying stress. It is defined as follows. This is to prevent damage to the ceramic fin (1) during brazing heating. (3) is ordinary silver brazing material. Since titanium tubes are brazed, it is not necessary to include titanium in the silver brazing material.

In the above configuration, the titanium tube (2) is inserted into the fin insertion hole of the ceramic fin, and is thermally deformed so as to come into close contact with the inner surface of the fin insertion hole during brazing heating. (3) flows between the ceramic fin (1) and the titanium tube (2). During cooling, the titanium tube (2) receives tensile thermal deformation force from the brazing filler metal (3) and undergoes plastic deformation, thereby preventing damage to the ceramic fin (1). The reason why the titanium tube (2) is made thinner than the ceramic fin (1) is to reduce the yield strength of the titanium tube (2) and make it easier to plastically deform. It is desirable that the thickness of the titanium tube (2) is sufficiently thin relative to the ceramic fins without affecting corrosion resistance. Moreover, by using the titanium tube (2), it was possible to obtain the same corrosion resistance as that made of all-ceramics.

(Effects of the Invention) As described above, according to the present invention, by making the titanium tube that is joined to ceramics via silver solder sufficiently thinner than the thickness of the ceramic plate fin,
This prevents the titanium tube from being stretched and plastically deformed by the brazing material during cooling after brazing, thereby preventing damage to the ceramic plate fins. In addition, the clearance between the titanium tube and the insertion hole of the ceramic plate fin was
Since the titanium tube is provided so as to fit tightly into the insertion hole without applying stress during brazing heating, damage to the ceramic plate fin can be prevented. Furthermore, by using a titanium tube, it is possible to obtain excellent corrosion resistance similar to that of all-ceramics, and it is possible to improve reliability against water leakage. Furthermore, by using a titanium tube, brazing can be performed using ordinary silver solder.
