In this way, the liquid that has flowed upward (or downward) through each liquid passage gap of the previous stage block by contacting the membrane will flow in the opposite direction through the liquid passage gap of the next stage block by contacting the membrane. The liquid flows in a downward flow (or upward flow), repeats a meandering flow in the vertical direction for each block, and flows in contact with the membrane through the liquid passage gap in the final stage, here the fourth block. The concentrated liquid that has not passed through the membrane is discharged from the drain port 14 of the movable end plate.

Therefore, in order to press the plates into a stacked state between the fixed and movable end plates 2 and 2', the motor 22 operates the clutch brake 23 and the belt transmission devices 24, 25, 2.
6, the screw shafts 18, 18 are rotated in one direction, and the movable base 15 screwed thereto is moved to the rail 17.

Push board 6 forward. When all the plates are almost in contact, the motor 22 is stopped, the piston of the piston unit is extended, and the movable end plate 2' pushes all the plates toward the fixed end plate, compressing them into a predetermined stacked state. Then, manually turn the handle 28 on the outer periphery of the male threaded cylinder 27 to bring it into contact with the rear end surface of the auxiliary base 30 of the movable end plate.

The above-mentioned pressing by the piston unit 16 can be stopped automatically by attaching a proximity switch or a limit switch to the rail 17 and having the auxiliary stand 30 of the movable end plate actuate the switch. or,
Stopping the forward motion of the movable base 15 using the screw shaft 18 can be similarly performed using a proximity switch or a limit switch that operates the movable base. When the piston unit 16 presses the movable end plate and the plate toward the fixed end plate, the movable base 15 moves against the screw shaft 1 which is stationary.
Since it is threadedly engaged with 8 and 18, it does not move back.
The reason why the handle 28 is brought into contact with the rear end surface of the auxiliary stand 30 is to maintain the clamped state even if some abnormality occurs in the hydraulic circuit to the piston unit 16 and the piston unit retreats. However, it is not required.

In this way, by compressing all the plates between the end plates 2 and 2', the stock solution is allowed to flow through the liquid passage gap between the opposing plates in contact with the membrane, and is separated into the liquid that has passed through the membrane and the concentrated liquid that has not passed through the membrane. A separation step can be performed.

To perform the opening operation of separating the plates one by one for cleaning, turn the handle 28 in the opposite direction to move the handle 28 backward on the externally threaded cylinder, and at the same time, move the piston back to release the clamping pressure on the plates, and then At 22, the screw shafts 18, 18 are now rotated in the opposite direction, thereby moving the movable table 15 toward the support column 3 together with the movable end plate 2'. In this case, if the plates are connected to each other, and the end plates 2 and 2' and the plates in contact with them are connected by connecting devices 32 as shown in the figure, when the movable end plate 2' moves back a little, the plates in contact with it are connected. When this plate is pulled back by the device and begins to move back a little along with the movable end plate, the plate adjacent to it is pulled by the coupling device and starts moving back, thus moving the movable end plate towards the fixed support column. In addition to moving the board, it is also possible to move the board at a predetermined interval. Moreover, since the connecting device uses a cross link, it is possible to prevent the plate from swinging during movement.

When the movable base 15 has retreated to a predetermined position on the rails 17, 17, the motor 22 is stopped, but this can also be done automatically by a limit switch or proximity switch 34 operated by the movable base or the auxiliary base of the movable end plate. Then, the plates are cleaned, the membrane is replaced, etc., and when finished, the plates are pressed into a stacked state as described above.

The clutch brake 23, which transmits the rotation of the motor 22 to the belt transmission device, is driven by the motor to connect the clutch between the input shaft and the output shaft, and release the brake.
When the motor stops, the clutch is disengaged and the brake is activated. Therefore, while the flat membrane device is in operation, the screw shaft 18,
18 will turn unexpectedly and the movable base will not move. It is preferable that this clutch brake is provided with a handle 35 that allows the output shaft to be turned by hand, so that in the event of a power outage, etc., the movable base can be moved forward and backward by turning the handle by hand.

The above-mentioned connecting device 32 is not limited to a cross link, but may be a chain or rope of a certain length. The undiluted solution is supplied from the liquid supply port 13, flows through the liquid passage gaps facing each plate, and finally discharges the concentrated liquid from the liquid drain port 13. However, the present applicant is not limited to this, and the present applicant has disclosed in Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 63-36805 (filed on July 31, 1986) and Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 63-44907 (filed on August 12, 1986). It may also be from the earlier application you proposed. Therefore, in this embodiment, since the bypass path of the above-mentioned prior application is used, the drain port 13 for the concentrated liquid is provided in the fixed end plate 2 in the same manner as the liquid supply port 12, unlike the conventional device shown in FIGS. 8 and 9.
