A device according to claim 1 or 2 for adjusting the gap between the applicator and the paper web at the trailing edge of the coating zone and for adjusting the gap and thereby adjusting the gap on the paper web. and a device for influencing the amount of coating material applied. 7. Apparatus according to claim 1 or 2, including an overflow gap between the applicator and the paper web at a position where the paper web enters the application zone. 8. The device for coating both sides of a moving paper web according to claim 1 or 2 comprises two sets of coating substance applicators and an air-coating device arranged symmetrically on opposite sides of the paper web. A device comprising a knife device. 9. Apparatus as claimed in claim 1 or 2, in which the paper web is supported by a support drum in the coating zone as in the position of the air knife device. 10 In the device according to claim 1 or 2, the moving speed of the paper web is 400 m/min.
The device should be larger than the above, preferably about 600m/min.
