る。 As shown in Figure 1a, a conventional charger connects a commercial power source 3 to the primary coil 2 of a transformer 1, and provides charging terminals 7a and 8a to the secondary coil 4 via a resistor 5 and a diode 6. It was something like that. When charging a battery 9 as shown in FIG. 1b with such a charger, if terminals 7a and 7b, 8a and 8b are connected, the charging current will flow through the resistor 5, diode 6,
It flows into the battery 9 through the terminals 7a and 7b, and the terminal 8
A circuit is formed that returns through b and 8a.
Such a two-terminal charger 7a, 8a can charge only one type of battery. Therefore, in order to be able to charge two or more types of batteries, the number of charging terminals was increased or the structure of the charger was changed. However, changing the structure of the charger will complicate the circuits and mechanisms, and increasing the number of charging terminals will significantly increase the cost, and the battery pack will have to be divided into several types, which will place a burden on the mold. There were disadvantages such as the size of the device becoming larger and the overall shape also becoming larger. In addition, Figure 1c
shows an example in which a diode 10 is inserted in series with the battery 9 to prevent + and - from being connected in reverse.

By providing at least two types of switching elements that are inserted into one and the other of the different types of charging lines, and which turn off when one of them is on, the charging terminal of the charger can be used for both positive and negative charging terminals, and By imparting directionality to the charging line of the rechargeable battery, it is possible to charge two types of batteries with one pair of charging terminals.
