され、前記吊りコンベヤに吊り下げられた鶏の頚
部を挟持して移動する頚部移送コンベヤと、該頚
部移送コンベヤによる移送途上の鶏の頚部を切断
する回転刃とを備え、前記頚部移送コンベヤは上
縁に頚部を沿わせて摺動させるレール部と、該レ
ール部と一定間隔を隔ててこれと平行に移動する
無端チエーンと、該無端チエーンに前記レール部
側に向けて突設され、先端が山型形状をした多数
の頚部保持爪とを備えるとともに、前記回転刃位
置に前記レール部と頚部保持爪間に保持された鶏
の頭部を押し上げる頭部押上ガイドを備えて自動

転刃15位置に移送されて切断される。なお、頚
部移送コンベヤ8の速度が、吊りコンベヤ1の搬
送速度より遅くなつているため、頚部移送コンベ
ヤ8による移送始端から回転刃15による切断に
至るまでに、徐々に頚部保持爪13,13間に頚
部が保持された状態で引つ張られることとなり、
引つ張られて自由度が少なくなつた状態で切断さ
