- 【実用新案登録請求の範囲】 車速を検出する車速検出手段と、目標車速を可
変設定する目標車速設定手段と、検出された車速
を目標車速に一致させるようにエンジン出力制御
用アクチユエータを駆動制御する定速走行制御手
段と、を備えてなる自動車用定速走行制御装置に
おいて、 該自動車用定速走行制御装置に対する電源投入
時に前記定速走行制御手段に優先して前記エンジ
ン出力制御用アクチユエータを強制的に駆動制御
し、該エンジン出力制御用アクチユエータの異常
を診断する異常診断手段と、該異常診断手段によ
りエンジン出力制御用アクチユエータの異常が診
断されたときに前記定速走行制御手段によるエン
ジン出力制御用アクチユエータの駆動制御を禁止
する制御禁止手段と、を含んで構成したことを特
徴とする自動車用定速走行制御装置のフエイルセ
ーフ装置。
