Abstract

PURPOSE:To vary physical quantities and to enable preferable music listening by evaluating the acoustic characteristics of a sound field from variables and constants of listening sound pressure, 1st delay time, etc., of the sound field which are physical quantities and mental quantities and measuring the physical quantities. CONSTITUTION:A dummy head or human head 1 is installed in a place to be evaluated, microphones 2l and 2r fitted in the left and right external auditory meatuses detect the sound pressure signals of both ears, and a preamplifier 3 amplifies and adds the signals. Then a physical analyzer 4 finds the physical quantities, i.e. the 1st best reflected sound delay time, the best following reverberation sound reverberation time for the time which is (23+ or -10) times as long as the 1st best reflected sound delay time, and the cross correlation coefficient IACC between both the ears from the sound pressure signals of both the ears. The respective values are compared by a comparator 5 with the respective best values which are inputted as comparison data from an input terminal (y) and converted by a metal quantity converter 6 into quantities corresponding to metal quantities; and a total evaluation device 7 performs total evaluation. Consequently, the preference of the sound field is outputted from an output terminal 8.

It includes independent and objective acoustic parameters, the first of which is the sound source signal p(1). Using the sound source signal, the long-term autocorrelation function Φp(τ) can be expressed as (Equation 4). where put) −p(t)
*s (t), where s (t) corresponds to the sensitivity of the ear,
Theoretically, it is expressed by the characteristics of the middle ear and the outer ear, but in practice it can be expressed as the impulse response of a G filter, which is well known as an approximation of auditory characteristics. Naturally, by dividing (Equation 4) by the power Φp(0) of p=(t), the normalized autocorrelation function φp(τ) can be expressed as Φp(o).

Next, if another reflected sound is added to the direct sound after the time when the autocorrelation function of the direct wave becomes small, then the normalized autocorrelation function φ2. Above, we have discussed the long-term autocorrelation function of the sound source signal, the multiple impulse responses caused by sound reflecting off walls, etc., and the interaural cross-correlation function that shows the correlation between binaural signals. , then from these physical quantities,
Four elements are important objective parameters that represent the characteristics of binaural sound signals: listening sound pressure, delay time of the first reflected sound, reverberation time of the subsequent reverberant sound, and interaural correlation function. We will explain how to find the optimal value for each value.

The results of the preference test conducted using the aforementioned music A and music B are shown in FIGS. 3(a) and 3(b). The horizontal axis is IACC1, and the vertical axis is audible sound pressure (unit: dBA). The audible sound pressure can be considered to be the value of τ=0 of the autocorrelation function, and the value on the horizontal axis of the graph indicates the preference. Figure 3 (a) (Clearly from bl, the optimal listening sound pressure [p) p does not depend much on IACC; it is 77 to 79 dBA for music A with a rather slow tempo, and 77 to 79 dBA for music B with a fast tempo. It can be seen that it is 79 to 80 dBA in some cases. In either case, the optimal value for hearing sound pressure is 79 dBA.
It can be seen that the values before and after are taken.

Therefore, Φp(τ)1 is 1/1 of the level G1 of the first reflected sound.
FIG. 4 is a diagram in which the horizontal axis represents the time τd corresponding to 0, and the vertical axis represents the delay time [Δt+)I) of a single reflected sound at which the breference is maximum. The range shown in the figure shows the delay time when it is 0.1 lower than the maximum value of the reference, and the symbol O in the figure is the level of the first reflected sound G, = 6 dB, ・ is G1 = OdB, mouth is GI=-6d

As is clear from Figure 4, a straight line can be drawn to approximate each point in the diagram, and when looking at both axes corresponding to the straight line, τd is the single line that maximizes the breference. It can be seen that the delay time [Δt+) of reflected sound almost coincides with p. At the same time, it almost coincides with the time τρ at which 1Φp (τ)1 becomes 0.1 times Φp(0). That is, if this is expressed mathematically, the most preferable delay time [△t1]p of the first reflected sound is [△t,]p=τp ・(Formula 10%Formula% Φp (τ)1≦KG' ・・・(Formula 11)τ

Furthermore, the autocorrelation function of the sound source signal has a close relationship with the optimal reverberation time, and this relationship is shown in FIG. The vertical axis is the optimal reverberation time (Tsub) p of the subsequent reverberant sound, and the horizontal axis is τp. The reverberation time mentioned here is 60 d of direct sound.
It is expressed as the time it takes for the signal in the reverberation section to attenuate by 60 dB, rather than the time it takes for the signal in the reverberant section to attenuate by 60 dB.

Next, a measure of preference based on the above-mentioned four parameters will be described. By the way, this scale of preference was determined through a comparative test, and each parameter independently influences the scale of preference. As a result, since the principle of superposition can be applied, by normalizing each objective parameter by the optimal value, it becomes possible to generalize the sound field breference data obtained in a concert hall or the like.

This invention uses four parameters to measure the preference in a concert hall or room: the audible sound pressure in the sound field, the delay time of the first reflected sound, the reverberation time of the subsequent reverberant sound, and the interaural cross-correlation coefficient. The present invention focuses on the fact that it is possible to obtain the respective brefference scales and the overall brefference scale, and provides an acoustic device that can create a more preferable sound field by correcting the sound field based on each parameter. That is the purpose.

First, a simple flow of one embodiment of this sound field evaluation measuring instrument will be explained using FIG. 11. First, a dummy head or a human head (1) is installed at a location such as a concert hall or listening room where a sound field evaluation is desired. Microphones (2β) (2r) attached to the left and right entrances of the ear canal
The sound pressure signal of both ears is detected by the preamplifier (3).
After amplification and addition, the physical quantity analyzer (4) converts the sound pressure signals of both ears into physical quantities, that is, hearing sound pressure, first reflected sound delay time, subsequent reverberant sound reverberation time, and binaural cross-correlation coefficient. Find IACC and compare each value with a comparator (5
) is compared with each optimal value input as comparison data from the input terminal (y), and then compared with the respective optimal values input as comparison data from the input terminal (y), and then
It is converted into a psychological quantity, that is, a quantity corresponding to the preference, by a psychological quantity converter (6) that performs processing based on Formula 14), (Formula 17), (Formula 20), and (Formula 23), and then in a comprehensive evaluator (7). The overall evaluation is performed and the breference in the sound field is outputted from the output terminal (8). This calculator can be used to evaluate the sound field of concert halls and listening rooms.

First, FIG. 13 [a] will be explained. Input terminal (4
When a signal is given to the multiplier (00), the input signal is sent to the multiplier (
404) to (407), and the delay circuit (40
1) is also given. The output of the delay circuit (401) is given to the multiplier (405) and the output of the next delay circuit (40
2) and sequentially delayed signals are produced up to the output of the (n-1)th delay circuit (403). The output of each delay circuit (401) to (402) is sent to a multiplier (405).
) to (407). Multiplier (404)
performs a square operation on the input signal itself. Next, the output signals of the multipliers (404) to (407) are integrated in integrators (412) to (415), respectively, and the output signals are further squared by multipliers (408) to (411). In addition, the output signal of the integrator (412) is directly input to the terminal (422) in addition to the input to the multiplier (408).
is output to. This signal has an autocorrelation coefficient φ(0), that is, the square of the power of the input signal, and includes information corresponding to the sound pressure signal. The processing of squaring the power can also have an equivalent function simply by converting it into an absolute value. By the way, the output signals of the multipliers (40g) to (411) are the square of the autocorrelation coefficient φ. 2φ12. ......, φ2o
-1 signal is added to adders (416) to (418), the outputs of adders (416) to (417) are respectively added to the next adder, and the (n-1)th adder (418) )
It will be carried out until By the way, the output signal from the multiplier (408) and the output signal from the adders (416) to (417) are output from the comparison circuits (419) to (421), respectively.
At , the output signal of the last adder (418) is compared with the signal after being attenuated by the attenuator (426), and the respective output signals 01 to 01 are sent to the output terminals (423) to (425).
(423) to On-+ (425) are output. The attenuation ratio of the attenuator (426) is set to (0,1)' when determining the first reflected sound delay time, and to (0,001)' when determining the subsequent reverberation sound reverberation time. is used. This is similar to what is already known as an optimal delay time detector, and the value of the autocorrelation function is 1710.
Alternatively, the delay time is determined to be 1/1000. The total delay time from the delay circuit (401) to the delay circuit (403) is about the length of the first reflected sound delay time and the subsequent reverberation sound reverberation time, that is, 100 to 200 respectively.
m5 and about 3 to 5 SeC are required. Naturally, as this time elapses, the integration circuits (412) to (41

(448), the respective root mean square values γ and δ are output. Further, the sum signal between the input signals Lin and Rin is taken out from an adder (443), and the difference signal is taken out from an adder (444) which makes one signal negative and adds it to the other signal, and the root mean square circuit (446) takes out the sum signal between the input signals Lin and Rin. ) and (447), and similarly output the sum signal and the difference signal as their respective root mean square values α and β. The four root mean square signals α, β, γ, and δ thus obtained are subjected to arithmetic processing (α2β2)/(4γδ) in an arithmetic circuit (449), and the mutual correlation is output to an output terminal (450). Output φ corresponding to the number
(In other words, the interaural correlation coefficient (IACC) is obtained. However, when using the circuit shown in FIG. 13(e), input signals Lin and Rin are connected to input terminals (441) (442).
If a delay circuit of 0 to 1 ms is provided before the input to the input signal, and the delay time is varied to find the maximum value, the circuit configuration corresponds to the above-mentioned (Equation 9), and from that circuit, (Equation 9) ) is required. The delay circuit for this purpose is shown in Figure 13 (not shown in el).The more accurate interaural correlation coefficient (IACC)
In order to perform the calculation, it is preferable to perform the numerical calculation using the above-mentioned formulas (Formula 7) to (Formula 9).

In the embodiment described so far, the inputs to the audible sound pressure analyzer CD, the first sound ejection sound delay analyzer, and the subsequent reverberant sound reverberation time analyzer Sho are the dummy head or human head ( In 1), we have used the sum signal of the two acoustic signals entering the left and right ears, but the delay time between the two signals is usually less than 1 ms, and the analysis by these three analyzers Aυ~ has been used. Since there is no significant difference in the results, sufficient analysis results can be obtained even if one of the left and right acoustic signals is used. The optimal listening sound pressure [p) of the sound field evaluation measuring instrument 00) which is an embodiment of the first invention described above varies depending on the type of sound source, but it is approximately (79±5) Since it is about dB, 79 dB is used here as a representative. In addition, the optimal first reflected sound delay time [△t+3+] and the optimal subsequent reverberation sound reverberation time [Tsub
]p is the first reflected sound delay time analyzer from the actual sound source itself to determine the delay time τp that first becomes smaller than the attenuation ratio, and then calculates this as the optimal first reflected sound delay time [△t1]
It is preferable to set it to p, and multiply it by (23±10) and use it as the optimal subsequent reverberation sound reverberation time [Tsub) p.

As mentioned above, according to this sound field evaluation measuring instrument, one or two
a microphone, an amplifier for amplifying the acoustic signal obtained from the microphone, and an audible sound pressure measuring means for measuring the audible sound pressure p from the amplified signal; A first reflected sound delay time measurement time for measuring the first reflected sound delay time Δt1 from the signal, and a subsequent reverberation sound reverberation time measurement means for similarly measuring the subsequent reverberation sound reverberation time Tsub from the amplified signal. , furthermore, a binaural cross-correlation coefficient measuring means for measuring the binaural cross-correlation coefficient IACC from the amplified signal, and a ratio of 10 of the audible sound pressure p and the optimum audible sound pressure [p)p. The value of the absolute value of the 20 times the logarithm to the 372nd power with 04±0.02) is outputted as a scale S1 of Brefference (psychological quality in terms of hearing). In other words, the first comparison conversion means outputs the output corresponding to the above (Equation 14) to (Equation 16), the first reflected sound delay time Δt1 and the optimal first reflected sound delay time [Δt,).
When the first reflected sound delay time is greater than the optimal first reflected sound delay time, the value is the 3/2 power of the absolute value of the logarithm to the base 10 of the ratio to p, -(1,42±0,6 ] is multiplied by -(1,11±0.5) when it is small, and outputs the value obtained as the preference scale S2, that is, outputs corresponding to the above-mentioned (Equations 17) to (Equations 19) are output. A second comparison conversion means sets the subsequent reverberation sound to the 372nd power of the absolute value of the logarithm to the base 10 of the ratio between the subsequent reverberation time Tsub and the optimal subsequent reverberation sound reverberation time (Tsub) p. When the reverberation time is larger than the optimal subsequent reverberation sound reverberation time, the sum of -(0,74±0.25) times the sound pressure of the entire reflected sound and -(0,45±0.15) is If it is small, multiply the total sound pressure of the reflected sound by -(0,42±0.14) times the sum of -(2,36±0.79), and if the value is negative, leave it as is. is positive, a third comparison conversion means outputs zero as the blur reference measure S, that is, outputs corresponding to the above-mentioned (Equations 20) to (Equations 22'); Relationship number 37
The value obtained by multiplying the square value by -(1,45±0.44) is output as the Brefference scale S4, that is, the above-mentioned (
A fourth comparing and converting means that outputs outputs corresponding to Equations 23) to (Equations 25) and preference scales S1. output from the first to fourth comparing and converting means. S2, S2, S
Since the sound field evaluation device is provided with a comprehensive evaluation means that comprehensively evaluates the sound field 4 and outputs the overall scale S of the sound field, it is possible to perform a faithful sound field evaluation.

At this time, the optimal subsequent reverberation time (
Tsub) I) is preferably (23±10) times the optimal first reflected sound delay time [Δt+)p, as described above. It is known that when a reverberator is configured in the form of a reverberation circuit (504a) (504b), the subsequent phonograph reverberation time is Tsub-1ε·Δt+/log(g). . Note that g is the attenuation rate. Here, by using the relationship Tsub=(23±10)Δt1, it can be seen that the attenuation rate g must be in the range of 0.588 to 0.811. In addition, when the subsequent reverberation sound reverberation time Tsub=23△t1, the attenuation rate g=0.7
It is 41.

That is, if the attenuation rate g is set in this way, the optimal first reflected sound reverberation time [△t+) p and the optimal subsequent reverberant sound reverberation time [T
sub3 p is obtained. Of course, even with such processing, effects in the sound field will be added, but in spaces with relatively little reflection, such as Japanese-style rooms, or spaces with a lot of reflection, such as car cabins, the reverberation time is extremely short. is very effective.

By the way, with this acoustic device, we aim to provide a simpler acoustic device that is as effective as or better than the aforementioned acoustic device in a small room or a sound field with relatively little reflection, such as a Japanese-style room or a car interior. However, when this acoustic device is used in a sound field other than a small room or a car interior, the performance is slightly lower than the above-mentioned acoustic device, but it still improves the audible sound pressure, first reflection delay time, and Since the sound field is corrected by three physical parameters: the subsequent reverberation time, it is possible to create a sound field that is much more favorable than that of conventional sound equipment; It has the advantages of being compact, inexpensive, has a simple circuit configuration, and is easy to work with and has good durability.
