燃機関のスロツトルバルブ機構の安全対策装置に

つたり故障発生場所が人里離れた所やトンネル内
であつた場合、十分なフエイルセイフ効果は発揮

ツトルバルブ機構に切替えてアクセルペダル直結
のスロツトルバルブ機構により機関の制御を行い

実施例
以下、図示した一実施例に基づき本考案を詳細
に説明すれば、1は並列に形成され且つ共に図示
しないエアクリーナと機関との間に介在せしめら
れる主吸気胴1aと該主吸気胴1aよりも開口面
積が小さい副吸気胴1bとを有する装置本体、2
は主吸気胴1aと直交するようにして本体1に枢
着された主スロツトルシヤフト、3は主吸気胴1
a内にて主スロツトルシヤフト2に固着された主
スロツトルバルブ、4は本体1に装着されていて
その駆動軸が主スロツトルシヤフト2の一端と接
続された例えば電気駆動のアクチユエータ、5は
副吸気胴1bと直交するようにして本体1に枢着
された副スロツトルシヤフト、6は副吸気胴1b
内にて副スロツトルシシヤフト5に固着された副
スロツトルバルブ、7は副スロツトルシヤフト5
の一端に固着されていると共にアクセルワイヤ8
を介してアクセルペダル9と接続されていてアク
セルペタル9により直接駆動されるスロツトルバ
ー、10は本体1に装着されていると共にその入
力軸が副スロツトルシヤフト5の他端と接続され
ていて副スロツトルバルブ6の開度(アクセルペ
ダル9の位置に対応する)を検出するポテンシヨ
メータ、11は両スロツトルバルブ3及び6の上
流側において両吸気胴1a及び1bと直交する方
向に摺動可能に本体1内に配設され且つスプリン
グ12により第2図矢印B方向(主吸気胴1aを
閉じ且つ副吸気胴1bを開く方向)に付勢された
シヤツタ、13はシヤツタ11を第1図図示状態
(主吸気胴1aを開き且つ副吸気胴1bを閉じた
状態)に係止するためのストツパ、14はストツ
パ13を第1図矢印A方向に引張つて移動させる
ためのソレノイド、ダイアフラム等から成る駆動
源、15は通常は主スロツトルバルブ3の開度が
ポテンシヨメータ10によつて検出されるアクセ
ルペダル9の位置(踏み込み量)に応じた開度に
なるようにアクチユエータ4を制御し、アクチュ
エータ4が故障した場合はアクチユエータ4の動
力源をOFFにすると共に駆動源14をONにする

源をOFFにすると共に駆動源14をONにする。
すると、ストツパ13が矢印A方向に引かれてシ
ヤツタ11に対する係止を解除するので、シヤツ
タ11はスプリング12により矢印B方向に移動
して主吸気胴1aを閉じ且つ副吸気胴1bを開
く。従つて、主スロツトルバルブ3による機関制
御作用が停止し、代りにアクセルペダル9と直結
された副スロツトルバルブ6による機関制御が行
われるようになるので、運転車は車輌を安全に留
め得ると共に再走行も可能となる。従つて、故障
発生時刻が夜間であつたり故障発生場所が人里離
れた所やトンネル内であつた場合でも、十分なフ
エイルセイフ効果が発揮される。又、副吸気胴1
bの開口面積が主吸気胴1aの開口面積よりも小
さいので故障発生時には機関出力が低下し、運転
者はこれを感じとることにより故障と判断し得
る。又、ポテンシヨメータ10は、通常はアクセ
ルペダル9の位置検出センサとして使用される
が、故障時にはスロツトルバルブの開度検出セン

判断させ得、一つのポテンシヨメータに状態に応
じて二つのセンサの役割を果たさせ得るなど、実

前記シヤツタにより主吸気胴を閉じ且つ前記副
吸気胴を開くようにしたことを特徴とする安全
