The printed surface of paper printed with a rotary printing machine is prone to staining in subsequent processes because the ink dries slowly, and in the case of sheet-fed paper, set-off occurs when stacking discharged sheets, so this can be prevented. In order to do this, a drying device is installed in the conveyance path of the printed paper, or a spray powder is applied at this location. However, drying equipment requires large-scale equipment, and dust particles can make the paper rough and lose its luster, or cause problems when reprinting, so as an alternative, varnish can be applied to the surface of the printed paper. This is mainly done to prevent stains and give gloss to paper surfaces, for example, for printed matter that requires beauty, such as book covers, catalogs, and pamphlets.

Generally, it is installed within the Its structure includes a roller group arranged in the same way as a water supply device that supplies water to the surface of a printing plate mounted on the plate cylinder of a printing device, and the varnish stored in the varnish tank is passed through this roller group. In most cases, the varnish is supplied to the surface of the blanket cylinder, and the varnish is transferred from the blanket cylinder to the paper passing between the blanket cylinder and the impression cylinder.

If the rollers inside were stopped even for a short time, the thin varnish on the circumferential surface of the rollers would dry, making subsequent processing extremely troublesome.
In this case, conventionally the rollers and varnishing boat were washed by hand, but in recent years, roller cleaning devices have been added to varnishing equipment, and while the printing press is stopped, the varnishing roller is rotated and a cleaning solution is applied to it while a doctor knife is used. Wiping is done with etc.

At this time, since the forming roller 23 moves approximately around the axis of the metering roller 24, the rollers 23 and 24 are not separated from each other. After opening the valve 64 and returning the entire amount of varnish 27 in the varnish tank 26 to the varnish tank 33, the pump 42 is rotated and the valve 50,
When 56 is opened, the cleaning water 37 is pumped up by the pump 42 and passes through the pipes 51 and 57 to the nozzles 49 and 5.
3, the cleaning water 37 is sprayed from a nozzle 49 and a plurality of nozzles 53, and is directed to the forming roller 23.
Then, the metering roller 24 and the original roller 25, which are rotating in opposition to the blanket cylinder 22 and the applicator roller 23, are cleaned. The dissolved varnish is scraped off into the boats 55, 46 by the doctor knife 54 and the sponge roller 47, and is discharged along with the cleaning water to the drainage groove through the hoses 58, 52a. When the solenoid valve 60 is switched to the pump 42 side and the solenoid valve 63 is switched to the drain hose 62 side at the same time as cleaning the rollers,
The washing water 37 is supplied to the varnishing boat 26 through the supply hose 59 to wash the inside of the varnishing boat 26, and the water after washing is discharged to the drainage groove through the discharge hose 61 and the drain hose 62. Since the wash water 37 circulates in this manner, the inside of the varnish boat 26 is washed, and at the same time, the varnish inside the supply hose 59 and the discharge hose 61 is also washed away. In the cleaning operation, the cleaning water 37 is heated in advance by the panel heater 44, so that the cleaning water 37 is heated beforehand by the panel heater 44.
Even if the varnish inside the hoses 59 and 61 is about to harden, it is completely dissolved and cleaned. In addition, the switching of the electromagnetic valves 60, 63, etc. and the pump 4
It is an easy technology to automate the timing of rotation and stop of steps 1 and 42. If this is automated, the varnish supply operation can be immediately switched to the cleaning operation after the varnishing operation is completed, and during this time the operator is not required to do other work. can be involved in the work of

Further, in this embodiment, the pumps 41 and 42, which are provided one each for the varnish tank 33 and the solution tank 34, are reduced to one, and electromagnetic valves are provided between this pump and the varnish tank 33 and the solution tank 34, respectively. Alternatively, one pump and a solenoid valve may be provided between the branch and the varnishing vessel 26. Furthermore, in this embodiment, a solenoid valve 63 is installed at a branch part of the discharge hose 61.
Although an example is shown in which one is provided, one may be provided in the branch part and the varnish tank, and one in the branch part and between the drain tank. Further, each flow path does not need to be a hose 59, 61, 62, but may be a metal or plastic pipe.

As is clear from the above description, in the printed matter varnishing apparatus according to the present invention, a tank consisting of a varnishing tank and a solution tank each equipped with a pump and a heating means, and a varnishing boat are connected by a valve. In addition to providing a solution supply channel that connects the solution tank and multiple locations in the roller cleaning section by connecting a supply channel and a discharge channel, it is also possible to connect the solution tank to multiple locations in the roller cleaning section. By configuring the system to selectively supply varnish and clean the varnish boat, not only can varnish be smoothly supplied during varnishing work, but also the varnish can be supplied in parallel with roller cleaning when cleaning the varnishing equipment. Since the inside of the boat can be cleaned and the supply and discharge channels can be cleaned simultaneously without manual intervention, work efficiency is significantly improved and labor is reduced, and the varnish and solution are warmed by heating means. Therefore, even the varnish that has barely solidified can be dissolved and a complete cleaning operation can be carried out, and the quality of varnished printed matter can be improved when the operation is restarted, and the clogging of the flow path can be prevented. Furthermore, during cleaning, the cleaning liquid can be simultaneously supplied to a plurality of locations on the varnishing boat side and the roller cleaning section side for cleaning, thereby improving the cleaning ability. Additionally, by automating valve switching, pump starting, etc., workers can be redirected to other tasks during cleaning.
Work efficiency improves.
