It is widely known that weather resistance, heat resistance, abrasion resistance, chemical resistance, etc. can be improved by coating the periphery of a filament with vinyl chloride resin, acrylic resin, urethane resin, etc.

欠点がある。 Conventionally, when processing yarns with resin, a method has often been used in which coating resin is applied by dispersing or dissolving it in an organic solvent or water. One method is to soak the yarn in a resin liquid, squeeze out the excess resin liquid with a mangle or felt, and then dry it. However, this method of applying resin liquid has a high viscosity of tens of thousands of centipoise. When the viscosity increases, it becomes difficult to apply the resin liquid, and it has the disadvantage that it can only be applied when the amount of resin liquid applied to the yarn is relatively small, up to several tens of percent.

There is also a method of applying a resin liquid of The size of the hole must be changed, and it takes time to pass the thread through the thread passage hole, which can easily cause problems such as clogging of the thread passage hole due to foreign matter or drying of the resin liquid. , and in the case of multifilament yarns that easily contain air, the filaments of the multifilament are coated with resin while containing air, resulting in the air contained in the yarn material expanding thermally during heat treatment processes such as drying. This is due to the fact that it destroys the covering resin film. As a result, the surface coated with the resin liquid becomes uneven, impairing its commercial value, and furthermore, the physical properties of the resin coating deteriorate due to air bubbles, and the adhesion between the yarn and the coating resin decreases. A method of applying resin liquid to the yarn material using a slit nozzle with two doctor knives in place of the yarn passage hole has also been considered, and according to this slit nozzle method, the gap can be adjusted arbitrarily. Not only can threading of the yarn be easy, it is easy to work with, and even if the yarn to be processed is multifilament, the air contained between the filaments is expelled at the slit nozzle, making it inexpensive and there are few troubles caused by air bubbles. However, on the other hand, the exit part of the slit nozzle is easily contaminated by the resin liquid, and the coating resin has the disadvantage of causing bead-like adhesion spots.

To the gap between a pair of rolls with cleaning knives rotating in opposite directions,
Alternatively, there is a method of applying resin to a yarn article, characterized in that excess resin liquid is removed by passing the resin through a gap between a roll with a cleaning knife and a doctor knife, which rotate in the opposite direction to the traveling direction of the yarn article.

2, the thread-passing gap is formed while always keeping a clean surface, so that an excellent resin-coated thread with less adhesion spots can be obtained. When the rotating rolls 5, 25, 25' having cleaning knives are rotated in the same direction as the traveling direction of the threads 1, 21, the resin liquid excessively applied to the threads 1, 21 is transferred to the thread passing gap. As the resin liquid 2, 22 increases in viscosity, it is pulled by the threads 1, 21 and causes stringy adhesion spots. do.

It was half hot. Specifically, the width of the gap corresponding to a round hole nozzle diameter of 0.6 mm is approximately
The width of the gap was approximately 0.4 mm, which corresponds to 0.3 mm and 0.8 mm for the round hole nozzle.

非常に少ないメリツトもあつた。 Since the thread passing gap in the present invention is slit-shaped, when the thread passes, the resin liquid spreads laterally and becomes flat, and as the thread spreads laterally, more resin adheres. It seems that the gap in the present invention may be narrower than the diameter of the round hole nozzle. Further, in the present invention, since the yarn exhibits a flattened state when passing through the gap, the air contained between the filaments of the yarn is expelled and the yarn is coated with resin. Therefore, there was also the advantage that there were very few troubles caused by air bubbles.

張力によつて集束され、均一に丸く加工された。 What was even more surprising was that the resin-coated yarn, which was supposed to be processed into a flat shape, was bundled together by the surface tension of the resin liquid and the thread tension during processing, and was processed into a uniform round shape.

た。 In the case of a conventional slit nozzle in which two doctor knives are attached to each other, resin liquid accumulates on the outside of the slit nozzle in proportion to the processing speed of the yarn, and when the resin liquid accumulates to a certain extent, it forms beads on the yarn. There is a drawback that the bead-like adhesion spots are caused by adhesion to the surface of the product, and furthermore, when this bead-like adhesion occurs, it takes time to dry the bead-like adhering part during the drying process in the subsequent process, resulting in a decrease in processing efficiency. On the other hand, the resin-coated yarn produced by the method of the present invention has a smooth resin-coated surface, and even when the amount of resin adhesion is increased to several hundred percent, it is possible to obtain an excellent resin-coated yarn with good workability and little resin adhesion spots. did it.
