In other words, a method was adopted in which a large conveyor chain was used and the conveyor chain was forced to operate even if paint adhered to the chain or pallets. Therefore, although drive motors with an order of magnitude higher output were used, the amount of paint deposited gradually increased, making it necessary to periodically remove and clean the chain. In addition, pallets had to be periodically cleaned at designated locations to remove paint, which was extremely costly.

A pallet fixed with a joining fitting having a vertical part aligned with the direction of transport and having a small width perpendicular to the transport direction, and a lower frame having a vertical passage groove in the upper part, the upper surface of the lower frame, the side surface and lower part of the pallet below the upper surface. It is characterized by having a fixed dustproof cover that surrounds the guide running path of the frame and the drive chain and is long in the transport direction.

A flanged roller 6 is rotatably supported at a predetermined interval by a support member 5 fixed to the upper end of the support column 2 and having an upward U-shaped cross section extending in the transport direction. At the center of the frame 4, a chain support frame 7 is fixed on the horizontal member 3, and two pairs of right and left U-shaped cross-section rails 8 with openings facing each other are fixed in two stages, upper and lower, and the upper rail 8
The rollers of the endless drive chain 10 are guided and supported by the guide bars 9 attached to the upper and lower inside of the lower rail 8, and the return rollers of the drive chain 10 are supported by the guide bars 11 attached to the lower inner side of the lower rail 8. .

A lower frame 15 that is supported on rollers 6 and moves, and a front and rear horizontal member 16 that is welded to the vertical member 13 at its front and rear intermediate portions.
It has an upper frame 19 on which a coupling fitting 17 having a U-shaped cross section is fixed to the upper part of the frame so as to be biased to one side from the left and right centers, and a horizontal member 18 whose left and right centers coincide with the lower frame 15 is fixed thereto, An automobile body M is loaded onto supporting metal fittings 20 fixed to both ends of the horizontal member 18.

The engaging device 21 may have any known structure, but in this embodiment, the structure is such that the pallet 12 can be stored on the conveyor 1. That is, a hook metal fitting 24 is pivotally supported by pins 23 to attachment links 22 provided at predetermined intervals on the drive chain 10, so that the hook metal fitting 24 can freely swing up and down. The pallet 12 is pushed by holding the hook 26 in the upright position shown in the figure and engaging the pusher plate 27 protruding below the front end of the lower frame 15. A push-down piece 29 that can come into contact with the front slope 28 is fixed. In the upright position, the horizontal members and the pusher plate 2 are arranged so that the hooks 26 do not hit the horizontal members 14, 16.

The pallet 12 comes off from the stopper and stops. When a succeeding pallet approaches this stop pallet 12, the slope 28 of the hook metal fitting of the succeeding pallet 12 hits the push-down piece 29 of the preceding stop pallet, causing the hook metal fitting to fall down, and comes into contact with the preceding stop pallet and stops. Thereafter, the pallets 12 are sequentially stopped and stored on the road in the same manner.

2 automatically engages the pusher plate 27 with the hook 26 coming from behind and starts moving, and thus the pallets 12 in storage start one by one. The lower frame 15 is made longer than the objects M so that the objects M do not collide with each other during storage.

Horizontal members 31 and 32 are fixed to the upper ends of the horizontal members 31 and 32, and a narrow passage groove 33 through which the vertical portion 17a passes is formed between their tips, and dustproof covers 34 and 35 are installed on the outside of the horizontal members 31 and 32 and the support column 30. The roller 6 and its support member 5, the drive chain 10 and its guide rail 8, the movable parts such as the engagement device 21, sliding parts, etc. are surrounded in a tunnel shape except for the passage groove. Since the width of the passage groove 33 is small, the covers 34 and 35
Although it is possible to almost prevent paint from entering the interior,
Furthermore, elastic bodies 36 such as flexible plastic sheets are attached to the covers 34 and 35 along the passage groove 33 so that their tips touch each other, so that only the portion through which the vertical portion 17a passes is locally curled upward. By doing so, the dustproof effect can be further improved.

Rails 41 having concave grooves 40 of the same shape are fixed in two stages, upper and lower. The endless drive chain 10a provided on both sides of the transfer path has a top roller 6a having the same shape as the running roller 42. The roller 42 fits into the groove 40 and runs, and the top roller 6a fits into the groove 38. The lower frame 15a is guided and moved. The structures of other parts such as the upper frame 19, the coupling fittings 17, and the dustproof covers 34 and 35 are the same as those in the previous embodiment.

Inside the booth, the lower frame and all of its travel drive parts are closed with dustproof covers except for the vertical passage grooves, completely preventing paint from adhering to the rollers and other moving parts, greatly improving the quality of the coating. This method has the advantage of being effective and having an extremely simple structure.
