Copper foil thread wire is a tape-shaped copper foil spirally wound around a central thread made of cotton thread or synthetic fiber thread.
Because it is extremely thin and highly flexible, it is often used as an electric wire to connect vibrating parts and non-vibrating parts, such as voice coil lead wires and piezoelectric buzzer lead wires.

Usually, copper foil thread wire is used in the form of a single wire, a grouped wire, or a braided wire, but in many cases, it is used bare. However, when used in places where wires and wires or wires and equipment easily come into contact,
It is necessary to provide insulation.

Conventionally, insulation of copper foil wire in such cases has been done by covering the outer periphery of the single wire, grouped wire, or braided wire with a vinyl coating or a tube, but in such a structure, the superior properties of copper foil wire are There are drawbacks such as loss of flexibility and the need to strip off the coating when soldering the terminal.

The present invention provides an insulated copper foil thread wire that solves the problems of the conventional technology as described above. The insulated copper foil wire is composed of a tape-shaped copper foil coated with an insulating film that is burnt out at the soldering temperature. It is characterized by spirally wound copper foil around the center line.

The reason why we provided an insulating coating on the copper foil wrapped around the center thread was to eliminate the need for an insulating coating around the outer periphery of the wire.
Moreover, by having a structure in which the insulating coating is spirally wound around the center thread together with the copper foil, the excellent flexibility of the copper foil thread wire is not impaired.
Also, if an insulating coating is provided on the spirally wound copper foil, when soldering the terminals for connection,
The problem is how to remove the insulating film, but in the present invention, the insulating film is burnt out at the soldering temperature, thereby eliminating the need for stripping the insulating film.

The insulated copper foil thread wire 1 shown in FIG. 1 has an insulated copper foil 3 spirally wound around a center thread 2 made of cotton thread or synthetic fiber thread. The insulating copper foil 3 is a tape-shaped copper foil 4 coated with a thin insulating film 5, as shown in FIG. The insulating film 5 is made of a material that is easily burned away at the soldering temperature, such as a urethane film. Urethane films are also effective in improving solder wettability. Furthermore, since there is a risk that the urethane film alone may peel off when the insulating copper foil 3 is wound around the center thread 2, it is also effective to cover the outside with a thin nylon film, for example.
Even if a nylon film is applied, the property of the insulating film being burned away at the soldering temperature does not change. The thickness of the insulating film 5 is about 15 μm compared to the thickness of the copper foil 4 of about 25 μm. The thickness of this insulating film 5 is the thickness of the plane portion of the copper foil 4, and may be thinner at the edge portions.

Further, the insulated copper foil thread wire 1 shown in FIG. 2 is obtained by spirally winding the above-described insulated copper foil 3 on the center thread 2 in two layers.

The insulated copper foil thread wire 1 having the above structure may be used as a single wire, but as shown in FIG.
As shown in the figure, a plurality of wires may be braided and used as the braided wire 7.

As explained above, since the insulated copper foil thread wire according to the present invention has a structure in which the insulated copper foil is spirally wound around the center thread, the required insulation performance can be obtained without providing an insulation coating around the outer periphery of the wire. Since the insulating film is also spirally wound together with the copper foil, excellent flexibility as a copper foil thread can be ensured.
Furthermore, since the insulating film coated on the copper foil is burned away at the soldering temperature, there is no need to strip off the insulating film when soldering the terminals, which has the advantage of making the terminal processing work extremely easy.
