This process involves applying a direct current or alternating current voltage between the tank or an electrode provided inside the tank and the car body, painting by electrophoresis, and then lifting the car body from the paint tank.

In addition, there were cases in which the automobile body being transported collided with parts sinking to the bottom of the paint tank and was damaged. Most accidents involving small parts falling occurred when automobile bodies were immersed in electrocoating paint.

A common method was to remove the electrocoated paint and then return the electrocoated paint to the paint tank from the recovery tank.

This has been a problem in trying to improve the efficiency of electrodeposition paint. On top of that,
In the above method, the collection tank is used many times,
It was also disadvantageous in terms of painting cost.

Near the bottom of the tank, a plurality of mesh baskets or nets made of a material that is non-erodible to the electrodeposited paint are placed so as to substantially cover the bottom of the tank, and above the paint tank, a plurality of mesh baskets or nets made of a material that is non-erodible to the electrocoated paint are placed so that fallen objects can be taken out. The present invention is characterized in that it is provided with a lifting means for suspending each of the net baskets or nets and making it possible to pull them up above the paint tank.

It is possible to remove objects. The mesh basket etc. is then submerged in the electrodeposition paint again.

Ru. For example, when filling a paint tank with cationic electrodeposition paint, the material for the mesh basket or net may be resin such as polypropylene or polyethylene, fiber reinforced resin (FRP), or resin or FRP coated on iron material, etc. In addition to the above-mentioned materials, metal materials such as iron and steel may also be used when an anionic electrodeposition paint is used. In addition, net baskets, etc. are usually made up of a collection of multiple net baskets, etc., each designed to cover a specific part of the bottom of the electrocoating paint tank, and are used to ensure the capture of fallen objects. , it is required to have a shape that can cover substantially all of the bottom surface of the paint tank used as a whole. Furthermore, the mesh size of the mesh basket etc. may be, for example, 5 meshes to 20 meshes.

Mechanisms, etc. can be used. A preferred elevating means is one in which two parallel rails are installed above the paint tank in the longitudinal direction of the tank, and a predetermined number of chain blocks are attached to the rails so as to be movable along the rails. This is advantageous in that the net basket or the member (chain block) for pulling up the net can be stored in place when not in use.
Furthermore, if the lifting mechanism for electrodeposition coating electrodes, which has conventionally been installed above the paint tank, is used in combination as a lifting means, there is no need to provide new equipment, which is very preferable in terms of installation space and cost.

Hanging, tank 1
The front side of the diaphragm electrode 5 is immersed, and then, while being immersed as it is, it is conveyed in the longitudinal direction by the means 9 (in the direction of arrow P in Fig. 3), and at this time, a predetermined DC voltage is applied to the diaphragm electrode 5... By depositing the electrodeposition paint 2 on the object 10 between the objects 10 and then pulling the object 10 up from the rear side of the tank 1, an electrodeposited product is obtained. After that, baking treatment of electrodeposition coating, etc. is performed.

Fallen objects in the tank can be easily taken out without having to perform the long-time work of removing and returning them to the tank, which greatly reduces maintenance and inspection work time. In addition, the time required for interruption of electrodeposition coating work due to falling objects is reduced, and the productivity of coated products is significantly improved. Additionally, the need for recovery tanks is reduced;
In some cases, equipment such as large recovery tanks may become unnecessary, leading to a reduction in painting (equipment) costs.
