材より圧造して該ボルト円柱部の先方部に雄ねじ部を転
造するボルトの製造法において、雄ねじ部の上方のボル
ト円柱部にワッシャを嵌めたうえ所定長さにわたりボル
トの軸線方向に延びるセレーションを刻設してセレーシ
ョンとボルト頭部との間のワッシャをセレーションによ
り保持させたものが開発され、特開昭58−65310
号公報により開示されているが、ボルト円柱部にワッシ
ャを嵌めた後において所定長さにわたるセレーションを
ボルトの軸線方向に延びるように刻設する作業はワッシ
ャが移動するので相当な手数を要し安価に量産できない
ものであった。

に成形のは、ボルト円柱部の圧造時にダイスにセレーシ
ョン加工部を形成しておくことによりボルト円柱部の圧
造と同時にセレーションが圧造されるようにしてもよい
し、ボルト頭部とこれに続くボルト円柱部を圧造後雄ね
じ部を転造する際に転造ダイスにセレーション加工部を
形成しておき、雄ねじ部の転造と同時にセレーションが
転造されるようにしてもよいが、いずれにしてもセレー
ションはボルト保持機能があればよいので短くてよく、

が、本発明により得られた製品は、スプリングワッシャ
6がセレーション4の頂部5によって脱落を防止されて
いるのでワッシャを接着剤により仮付けした従来のもの
のように運搬の途中等においてスプリングワッシャ6が
脱落することはない。またセレーション4は従来のワッ
シャ組込みボルトのリング状の隆起部とは異なりボルト
の軸線方向に延びるものであるから、凹凸を浅くしても
スプリングワッシャ6の脱落を確実に防止することがで
き、さらにまた、軸部断面積がセレーション4以外の部
分と時開−であるから応力集中によるボルト円柱部2の
強度低下を生ずることがないものであり、また、セレー
ション4はボルト円柱部の圧造または雄ねじ部の転造と
同時に前記ボルト円柱部のボルト頭部に近い部分に刻設
したものであるから、ボルト円柱部2の外径寸法の精度
の低下を最小限にとどめることができる。

さらに、本発明により得られた製品の特徴的構成はワッ
シャとして切割りを有するスプリングワッシャ6を用い
ているうえにセレーション4を短くした点であって、こ
のような構成をとらせることにより初めて安価に量産で
きるという現在のボルト業界における最も要求される課
題の解決ができることとなる。すなわち軸線方向に延び
る短いセレーション4はボルトの圧造時あるいは雄ねじ
部3の転造時において同時に簡単に成形できるので特別
な工程を付加する必要がなく、しかも、スプリングワッ
シャ6はワッシャ内径よりも太径のセレーション4が形
成されたボルトにボルト先側より強制圧入すれば、短い
セレーション4の頂部が正大時において容易に変形して
切割付きのスプリングワッシャ6が僅かな圧入荷重で的
確容易に所要箇所に圧入できるうえ、前記外径寸法の精
度向上にも寄与することができる。

りワッシャを保持させるようにしたものの最大欠点であ
る製造上の問題すなわちボルト円柱部にワッシャを嵌め
た後隆起部やセレーションをワッシャの移動を阻止しつ
つ成形するための特別な治具や手数が必要であるという
問題を解決でき、極めて安価に量産できる特長がある。
従って、本発明は従来のワッシャ組込みボルトの製造法
の問題点を一掃したものとして、業界の発展に寄与する
ところ極めて犬である。
