PRIOR TECHNOLOGY Printing, transfer, polishing, etc. are known methods for forming decorative patterns on the surface of tubular bodies such as fishing rods. At present, decorative patterns are formed by applying different colored paint layers on a rough surface and polishing them.

Problems to be Solved by the Invention However, the conventional method of applying multiple layers of paint requires a lot of skill to form a rough surface of the paint layer, and it is also difficult to stabilize the pattern uniformly. The flaw is that it is inefficient and extremely expensive, making it available only to a limited number of enthusiasts.

Structure of the Invention The present invention makes it possible to efficiently produce such high-grade decorative patterns, by mixing colored particles made of synthetic resin such as vinyl chloride or nylon on the surface of a tubular body such as a fishing rod, and applying the colored particles to the surface of a tubular body such as a fishing rod. The gist of this method is to apply a paint of a different color to the particles, and then polish the applied surface to a substantially smooth surface to expose the colored particles.

To explain the present invention in detail, on the surface of a tubular body 1 such as a fishing rod made of glass fiber, carbon fiber, etc.,
After mixing colored particles 2 made of synthetic resin such as vinyl chloride or nylon and applying a known paint layer 3 having a different color from the particles, for example, a paint layer 3 made of epoxy, urethane, etc., the paint layer 3 is polished. The colored particles are exposed on the surface to reveal the pattern of the colored particles 2 on the paint layer 3, and if necessary, a thin layer of transparent or colored transparent paint 4 is applied to the surface.

The colored particles 2 are harder than the paint layer 3 and have a diameter of about 0.5 to 0.05 m/m.
It is preferable that the mixing amount is about 5 to 30% by weight.
As for the means for applying the paint layer 3, it is preferable to apply the coating so that the colored particles 2 protrude from the painted surface as shown in FIG. It is also possible to apply the paint layer 3 thickly so that the colored particles 2 are buried and to expose the colored particles 2 while polishing the paint layer 3. Alternatively, as shown in FIG. When the colored paint layer 3' is applied and polished, a spotted pattern consisting of three colors can be formed as shown in FIG.

After the epoxy paint has hardened, the surface is polished with a pelt sander to form a substantially smooth surface, and then a transparent urethane paint is applied to the surface in a thin layer of about 20 microns.

Effects of the Invention The present invention mixes colored particles made of a synthetic resin such as vinyl chloride or nylon of a different color in the paint to be applied to the surface of a tubular body such as a fishing rod, and polishes the surface almost smooth to form the colored particles. Since the decorative pattern is formed by exposing the polishing layer, a high-grade polished decorative pattern can be efficiently and easily formed without requiring the troublesome labor and skill required to form a rough surface as in the conventional polishing method using multiple coats. I can do it.

Furthermore, the present invention makes it possible to easily and uniformly form a variety of decorative patterns by selectively adjusting the size, shape, amount, and color of the colored particles mixed into the paint, and by combining these with the color of the paint. .
