Abstract

PURPOSE:To enhance the adhesion between a lens main body and a matching layer without incurring the gain decrease by folding back the end ridge of a 1st matching layer and the end ridge of a 2nd matching layer coating the surface of the lens main body respectively. CONSTITUTION:The lens antenna is provided with a lens main body 1 made of a composite material comprising a polypropylene and a dielectric ceramic formed to a convex lens. The one surface of the lens main body 1 is covered by a 1st matching layer made of a required resin material to be molded, while the other surface is covered by a 2nd matching layer made of a required resin material to be molded. Then a ridge part 2a of the matching layer 2 is folded back at a circumferential ridge 1a of the lens main body 1 to be overhung up to the other surface, while a ridge part 3a of the matching layer 3 is folded back after the folded end ridge 1a of the matching layer 2 is coated. Thus, the close adhesion between the lens main body 1 and the matching layer 2 is enhanced without use of an adhesives causing the gain decreased.

<Prior Art> Conventionally, when receiving satellite broadcasting, a lens antenna having a configuration as shown in FIG. 3 has been used. That is, this lens antenna includes a lens body 10 formed into a so-called convex lens shape, and a matching layer 11 that completely covers the surface of the lens body to prevent surface reflection of radio waves. The lens body 10 is made of a dielectric material. The matching layer 11 is formed of a desired resin material. Then, these lens bodies 10 and matching layer 1
1 and 2 are bonded to each other by an epoxy adhesive 12 or the like applied to these interfaces.

<Problem to be solved by the invention> By the way, in the lens antenna of the conventional configuration,
Since the adhesive 12 with a different dielectric constant is interposed between the lens body 10 and the matching layer 11, radio wave loss increases and the gain of the lens antenna decreases, resulting in characteristic deterioration. was occurring. Further, since the linear expansion coefficients of the lens body 10 and the matching layer 11 are different from each other, peeling of the two may occur if the lens body 10 and the matching layer 11 are repeatedly exposed to direct sunlight during use (heat cycle).

The lens antenna according to this embodiment includes a lens body 1 formed by molding a resin material containing a dielectric material, for example, a composite material made of polypropylene, which is a polyolefin resin, and M74 ceramic into a convex lens shape. One surface of this lens body 1 is covered with a first alignment layer 1i12 molded with a desired resin material, while the other surface is covered with a second matching layer 1i12 formed with a molded resin material. It is covered by a matching layer 3.

By the way, as a procedure for forming the matching layer 2 on the surface P of the lens body 1, as shown in FIG. A practical method is to support the surface to be formed by the core bin 6, and then pull out the core bin 6 as the resin material injected into the mold F mold 5 and forming the matching layer 2 solidifies. Although the matching layer 3 is formed in the same manner, it goes without saying that other procedures may be adopted when forming the matching layers 2 and 3.

Further, in this embodiment, both surfaces of the lens body 1 are covered with the matching layer 2.3, but the invention is not limited to this, and if necessary, only one surface of the lens body 1 is covered with the matching layer 2.3. It is also possible to use it as a lens antenna by covering it with.

<Effects of the Invention> As explained above, in the lens antenna according to the present invention, both the edge portion of the first matching layer and the edge portion of the second matching layer that cover each surface of the lens body are Since it is mechanically connected to the peripheral edge of the lens body by being folded back, each matching layer is firmly held by the lens body via these edge parts. Therefore, it is possible to improve the adhesion between the lens body and the matching layer without using an adhesive that causes a decrease in gain as in the conventional example, and it is possible to effectively prevent separation between the two. .
