Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a decorative metallic plate, which has fine appearance and high sharpness of design and in which a usable resin is not limited in ionizing radiation curing paints, by forming a synthetic-resin intermediate layer with a pattern printed layer as required onto the base material of a metal and forming a top coat layer having the specific surface roughness of a transparent synthetic resin onto the intermediate layer. CONSTITUTION:The intermediate layer of a synthetic resin having a pattern printed layer as required is shaped onto the base material of a metal, the top coat layer of a transparent synthetic resin is applied and formed, and the surface of the top coat layer is polished so that surface roughness Rmax reaches 2mum or less. The intermediate layer 3 of the synthetic resin having the pattern printed layers 31 may be formed between the base material 1 of the metal and the top coat layer 2. The resin shaping the top coat layer and the intermediate layer may be selected arbitrarily in consideration of the adhesive properties of both layers from a thermoplastic resin, a thermosetting resin, an ionizing radiation curing resin, etc. The polishing machine of a type, in which a grinding stone polishes a rotating material, such as a plane or curved- surface buffing machine, a plate material polishing machine or the like may be used for polishing the top coat layer.

[Industrial Field of Application] The present invention relates to improvement of decorative metal sheets including decorative steel sheets. [Prior Art] Cases for home appliances and OA equipment often use a decorative board, which is a metal base material such as a steel plate or an aluminum plate with a synthetic resin layer provided on the surface. Conventional decorative metal plates do not take full advantage of the metallic luster of the base material when a transparent synthetic resin layer is provided on the surface, and when printing on the surface of the metal plate, the sharpness of the design
That is, the mirror surface smoothness and transparency are insufficient. This is because the surface of the resin layer is uneven. As a means of smoothing the surface of the resin layer, a method of leveling after applying the paint is known, but unevenness occurs during the subsequent drying of the paint film, making it impossible to obtain a highly smooth surface. In addition, dust prevention measures must be taken to prevent dirt and dust from adhering to the surface of the paint film before it dries. Another method is to overlay a molding sheet of plastic with a smooth surface on a film of ionizing radiation-curable paint applied to a base material, and after curing the coating film by irradiating it with ionizing radiation, the molding sheet is There is a method that consists of removing the . This method requires complicated work because it uses a shaped sheet, and the manufacturing cost is high because the shaped sheet is difficult to reuse. - [Problems to be Solved by the Invention] The object of the present invention is to provide a resin that has a beautiful appearance, high design clarity, and can be used in a decorative metal plate having a synthetic resin layer on a metal base material. The object of the present invention is to provide a decorative metal plate that is not limited to ionizing radiation-curable paints. [Means for Solving the Problems] The decorative metal plate of the present invention is provided with a synthetic resin intermediate layer having a pattern printing layer as required on a metal base material, and a transparent synthetic resin top layer on the intermediate layer. In a decorative metal plate with 8 layers, the top coat layer has a surface roughness Rm by surface polishing.
It is characterized by having ax of 2 μm or less, preferably 1 μm or less. The method for manufacturing a decorative metal plate of the present invention is to provide a synthetic resin intermediate layer having a pattern printing layer as necessary on a metal base material, and then apply and form a transparent synthetic resin top coat layer. , the surface of the top coat layer is polished to a surface roughness Rmax of 2μ or less. As shown in the drawing, a synthetic resin intermediate layer (3) having a pattern printing layer (31) is provided between the metal base material (1) and the top coat layer (2).

[You can also A metal plate used for this type of decorative board may be used as the base material. For example, mild steel plates, aluminum plates, copper plates, and their surfaces are coated with zinc, tin, lead, aluminum, etc.
It may be plated with copper, chromium, nickel or an alloy thereof. Electroformed iron foil can also be used. The resin forming the top coat layer and the intermediate layer may be arbitrarily selected from thermoplastic resins, thermosetting resins, ionizing radiation-curable paints, etc., taking into consideration the adhesion between the two layers. Examples include epoxy resin, urethane resin, rubber resin, melamine resin, acrylic resin, polyester, and polyvinyl chloride. A colorless transparent material or a colored transparent material is used for the top coat layer. In order to obtain particularly high image clarity, it is preferable to use a lens having a haze value of 1 to 8% and a light transmittance of 80 to 98%. In addition, pearl pigments such as known titanium dioxide-coated mica, metal powders, foil pieces with interference gloss laminated with resin thin films such as polyester and acrylic with different refractive indexes, transparent dyes, transparent pigments, etc., are used to improve haze value and transmittance. It can be added as long as it does not reduce the ratio. When the metallic luster of the base material is not utilized, a pigment with high hiding power such as titanium dioxide may be added to the resin forming the intermediate layer. The thickness of the top coat layer and the intermediate layer is 10 to 10, respectively.
20 μm, a range of 10 to 200 μm is appropriate. The pattern may be printed on the intermediate layer by a known method using ordinary printing ink. For polishing the top coat layer, a type of polishing machine in which a grindstone rotates to polish the material, such as a flat or curved puff polishing machine or a plate polishing machine, may be used. As abrasive grains, silica powder, PVA powder, glass powder,
Use something with a small particle size, such as corundum powder or diamond stone powder. [Function 1] The present invention provides a decorative metal plate with high design clarity and a beautiful appearance by providing a top coat layer polished to a mirror surface with a surface roughness Rmax of 2 μm or less. High sharpness does not just mean having high smoothness;
This can be achieved by clearly reflecting the external image onto the surface of the material, like a mirror. For this purpose, the surface roughness must be such that no distortion occurs in the projected image, and the condition for this is the above-mentioned RmaX of 2 μm or less. [Example 1] EG rust steel plate Zincoat with a thickness of 0.6 mm was used as the base material.
(manufactured by Dainippon Elio Steel Sheet) was used. Colorless and transparent polyester paint rEMP108A on the base material
J (manufactured by Nippon Paint) was applied and heated at a temperature of 230°C for 3.5 minutes to form a top coat layer with a thickness of 20 μm. The surface of the top coat layer was polished with a plate polisher (manufactured by Jozai Kogyo) using PVA abrasive grains until the surface roughness became 0.1 μm or less to obtain the decorative material of the present invention. [Example 2] Using the same base material as in Example 1 and the same polyester paint as in Example 1 with white pigment added, semi-rigid vinyl chloride with a thickness of 60 μm was coated on the base material. An intermediate layer was created. A pattern was printed on the surface of the intermediate layer using a gravure offset printing method. On top of that, colorless and transparent polyester paint rPT358J (manufactured by Nippon Paint)
was applied and heated at 230℃ for 3.5 minutes to a thickness of 2.
A top coat layer of 0 μm was provided. In the same manner as in Example 1, the surface of the top coat layer was polished to obtain a decorative material of the present invention. [Effects of the Invention] The decorative metal plate of the present invention has high design clarity and a beautiful appearance, and since any resin can be used for the top coat layer, it is suitable for cabinets such as home appliances and OA equipment. First, it can be used for a wide range of purposes.
