In a rotating body for driving logs of veneer lace, the outer circumferential surface of which is made of an elastic body, the outer circumferential surface is pressed against the outer circumferential surface of the raw log to drive it to rotate, and the outer circumferential surface is made of an elastic body that has a friction metal. As for the buried body, Japanese Patent Application No. 58-36290
No. 162011), an elastic ring made of urethane rubber or the like in which a coiled metal wire is integrally molded with resin is fixed to the contact surface side of the roll corresponding to the rotating body against the raw wood, and There are some that have a high coefficient of friction and are designed to dissipate frictional heat.

However, with such a configuration, the cost of processing the metal wire into a coil shape is high, and furthermore, with a normal ring-shaped metal wire, only a part of the curve appears on the circumferential surface, which increases the coefficient of friction and reduces frictional heat. There is a limit to the effect of heat dissipation, and if the length of the metal wire appearing on the circumferential surface is increased, it is necessary to process it into a special shape, resulting in higher processing costs.

In the present invention, instead of the coiled metal wire, a plate-shaped metal body bent in a zigzag shape is used.
The problems of the prior art described above are solved by embedding it in the outer circumferential surface of the rotary body for driving logs, which is made of an elastic body.

A plate-shaped metal body is bent in a zigzag shape so that side edges extending in a direction intersecting the rotational direction of the rotary body are exposed at appropriate intervals on the outer circumferential surface of the rotary body made of an elastic body. This is a rotating body for driving logs made of veneer lace, which is characterized by being buried.

As shown in Fig. 2, a plate-shaped metal body 8 is bent in a zigzag pattern so that U-shapes alternately extend in opposite directions, as shown in Fig. 3. As shown, the rotary body A is buried so that side ends extending in a direction perpendicular to the rotational direction of the body A are exposed at appropriate intervals.

As the plate-shaped metal body 8 is bent in a zigzag shape and buried,
Unlike when a coil or ring is used as the metal body, all of the continuous ends of the metal body 8 are exposed to the outer peripheral surface, which increases the coefficient of friction with the log 1 and also improves the heat dissipation effect of frictional heat. It can be stretched forward and backward without being damaged.

If a through hole is formed in the metal body as shown by 9 in the figure, the raw material will flow into the through hole, and the bonding relationship between the elastic body and the metal body will be good.

Any material may be used as long as it is bent in a zigzag shape so that when it is embedded in the elastic body of the rotating body, side ends extending in a direction intersecting the rotational direction of the rotating body are exposed at appropriate intervals, For example, as shown in Figure 5,
It may also be one in which V-shapes are bent in a zigzag pattern so that they alternate in opposite directions.

As explained above, in the rotating body for driving logs of veneer lace of the present invention, a plate-shaped metal body bent in a zigzag shape is used instead of the conventional coiled metal wire, so the rotating body All continuous ends of the metal body are exposed on the circumferential surface of the metal body, and as a result, the coefficient of friction with the raw wood can be increased and the heat dissipation effect of frictional heat can be increased.
