Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide a hose band which presents less frictional resistance with a member to be fastened such as a hose, which can perform fastening without generating wrinkles on the hose, and which can well retain the liquid tightness, by applying a dry lubricant to that surface of the band where the hose contacts. CONSTITUTION:The inner surface of a band 2 where a hose 10 comes in contact, when the band 2 is rounded into ring form and wound on the hose 10, is subjected to a chemical formation process for forming a film. Thereover a dry lubricant is applied. This band 2 is rounded into ring form and wound on the hose 10, and the open parts at the two ends of the band 2 are coupled together using a fastening member 3 by means of spot welding 7, etc. The ring dia. is contracted by allowing a jig to cause plastic deformation of a tab 4 provided on the fastening member 3, and thus the hose 10 is tightened.
