In a reaping/harvesting machine where the control section is installed on the rear side of the pre-harvesting section, the reaping device is placed in front of the control section, so a large amount of dust is generated during the reaping operation as the machine moves forward. There is a strong tendency for the broken dust to reach the operator, causing a problem that hinders confirmation of the front and work status. Therefore,
As shown in Utility Model Application Publication No. 56-42419,
The first idea that came to mind was to provide a cabin that covered the entire control section.

As shown in Utility Model Application Publication No. 59-633,
A means of installing a sunshade that is relatively bulky enough to cover the head of a seated pilot, or
As shown in Publication No. 57-56438, a low-bulk sunshade with good visibility is provided, and a means is adopted to generate wind that blows downward from the sunshade to form an air curtain for the control section. In particular, it was considered that the dust caused by the movement of the aircraft would be less likely to reach the pilot's face.

However, in the former conventional technology, dust still tends to reach from the open space below the sunshade, and in the latter conventional technology, although an air curtain is formed in front of the control section, Since the direction and the direction of dust intrusion were opposite to each other, the movement of the aircraft encouraged the intrusion of dust, and even with this measure, the dustproofness of the front side of the control section was not sufficient.

For the above purpose, the present invention constructs an awning above the control section, horizontally mounts a cross-flow fan on the front edge of the awning, and installs a cross-flow fan in front of the meter panel located in front of the control section. A windshield that rises upward is installed, and a slit-shaped outlet in the crossflow fan that opens downward is set and arranged so that the wind generated by the crossflow fan blows down along the front of the windshield. This is a characteristic configuration.

In other words, by installing a windshield in front of the control section, dust coming from the front is blocked by a physical wall, so compared to conventional methods where there is almost no wall or an airflow wall using an air curtain.
A remarkable effect of preventing the intrusion of dust can be expected.

The wide wind blowing downward from the cross-flow fan installed in the sunshade forms an air curtain that prevents dust from entering, and also prevents dust from adhering to the front of the windshield due to the blowing wind. As a result, good visibility is maintained, and not only the windshield but also the air curtain function to prevent dust from entering.

As a result, the interaction between the windshield and air curtain can effectively prevent dust from reaching the operator from the front, without deteriorating visibility or significantly increasing costs. We could provide a harvester.
