【発明の詳細な説明】

【産業上の利用分野】本発明はゴルフ用アイアンクラブ
ヘッドの製造方法に関し、特に中空体に形成したアイア
ンクラブヘッドの中に一定のヘッド重量を得るための重
量物を挿入した型式のクラブヘッドの製造方法に関する
ものである。

【従来の技術】従来の、金属板で形成した複数の部材を
結合して中空体に構成したアイアンクラブのヘッドにお
ける重量調整は、特公昭３９−２１８７９号公報に示さ
れるように、ヘッドの中空部内に亜鉛等の金属を溶融し
て注入充填する方法が一般的である。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】上記のような、溶融金
属をヘッド中空部内に注入充填する方法では、この溶融
金属が凝固する際に収縮して中空部内に隙間が生じ、そ
のためヘッドの安定性と信頼性に問題があり、また打球
時に異常音を発生し違和感も生じるほか、ヘッドの自由
な重量調整ができないという問題もある。

【課題を解決するための手段】本発明によれば、上記の
課題を解決するため、金属板で形成した複数個の部材を
結合して中空のアイアンヘッドを構成し、該中空ヘッド
の内部に一定のヘッド重量を得るための固体の埋込み材
を挿入して所定位置に仮止めし、次に前記中空ヘッド内
に粉末ろうを充填するとともに加熱して前記埋込み材を
前記中空ヘッド内の前記所定位置にろう付け固定するア
イアンクラブヘッドの製造方法が提供される。

【作用】上記のような構成からなる本発明によれば、中
空ヘッド内に挿入された固体の埋込み材をろう付けによ
り中空ヘッド内に強固に固定するため、埋込み材自体が
挿入後に変化するようなことはなく、ヘッドは安定し、
打球時に異常音を発生することがなく、埋込み材を適宜
選択することにより所望の重量のアイアンヘッドを得る
ことが可能となる。

【実施例】本発明の実施例を図面を参照して以下に説明
する。図４を参照すると、本発明のアイアンクラブヘッ
ドは、フェース１とネックの半割り部２とを一体に形成
した金属板Ａと、ソール３及び背面部４とネック半割り
部５とを一体に形成した金属板Ｂとを、溶接等で結合し
て一体となし、図１、図２及び図３に示すような中空ヘ
ッド１０を構成する。
【０００７】次にこの中空ヘッド１０の中空部６（第１
図）内に一定のヘッド重量を得るための固体の埋込み材
Ｃを挿入する。この埋込み材Ｃは、各種の重量、大きさ
、及び形状のものを用意し、その中から所望のものを選
択して用いるものである。そしてこの埋込み材Ｃは中空
部６内に接着剤で接着したり、中空部６で押圧固定する
などして、中空部６内の所定位置に仮止めする。
【０００８】ついで、中空部６内に、亜鉛−銅又は錫−
鉛のような合金からなる粉末ろうを充填しこれを加熱溶
融する。溶融した粉末ろうは中空部６と埋込み材Ｃとが
接する個所に流れ込み、仮止めされた埋込み材Ｃをその
位置にろう付けする。このようにして、一定のヘッド重
量を得るための固体の埋込み材Ｃがヘッドの中空部６内
の所定位置に強固に固定される。
【０００９】したがって、本実施例によれば、所望の重
量及び形状の埋込み材を選択しこれを中空ヘッドの所定
位置に強固に固定することができるので、所望重量及び
所望重心位置を有する、安定性及び信頼性のあるアイア
ンクラブヘッドを提供することができる。

【発明の効果】本発明によれば、一定のヘッド重量を得
るための固体の埋込み材は、中空ヘッド内に仮止めして
からろう付けによりその位置に固定するため、埋込み材
はヘッド内の所定位置に確実強固に固定することができ
、そのためヘッドの所定の重心位置とヘッドバランスが
所期のとおりに得られ、また打球時に異常音を発するこ
ともなくなる。また各種重量の埋込み材を適宜選択して
用いることにより、ヘッドの重量や重心位置を任意に設
定することができる。

    【特許請求の範囲】
  1. 【請求項１】　　金属板で形成した複数個の部材を結合
    して中空のアイアンヘッドを構成し、該中空ヘッドの内
    部に一定のヘッド重量を得るための固体の埋込み材を挿
    入して所定位置に仮止めし、次に前記中空ヘッド内に粉
    末ろうを充填するとともに加熱して前記埋込み材を前記
    中空ヘッド内の前記所定位置にろう付け固定することを
    特徴とするアイアンクラブヘッドの製造方法。
