は、他の手動操作部材を操作しない限り、キーシ
リンダ3からキーKを引抜けなくした所謂2挙動
操作式のステアリングロツク装置が特公昭49−
11908号公報等にによつて提案されている。しか
しながら、このステアリングロツク装置は、ばね
で一方向に付勢した手動操作部材の先端部を回動
部材の周面に部分的に形成した複数の段違いカム
面に沿つて従動させるものであり、手動操作部材
をいつたん操作すると、回動部材を完全に施錠位
置に戻してからでなければ、再び“START”位
置方向へのキー操作を行うことができない不便さ
がある。そして、用いられる段違いカム面は回動
部材の長さ方向に隣合つた多数の周面カムより構
成されるので、回動部材の製作がやつかいで、製
造原価も割高になる。

ことができるようにすると共に簡単な構造のステ
アリングロツク装置を得るにある。

成し、同周面溝を、キーの施錠方向への回動時に
施錠位置手前で手動操作部材内端と係合し回動部
材の施錠位置への回動を阻止するストツパ面を有
する解錠溝と、この解錠溝に対し回動部材の軸線
方向及び円周方向に位置を異にしかつ前記ストツ
パ面部付近で互いに連結した施錠溝とで構成し、
前記施錠溝と解錠溝の連結部に、施錠溝に位置す
る手動操作部材内端を回動部材の解錠溝に移行さ
せる傾斜面を形成することを特徴とするものであ
る。

作することができる。また、手動操作部材12の
回動部材5の周面に対向する部分に周面方向に突
出するい内端12aが形成されており、この内端
12aは詳細を第4図に示す回動部材5の周面に
その円周方向に沿つて形成された周面溝に係合し
てある。この周面溝は回動部材5の軸線方向に隣
合つて形成される施錠溝15及び解錠溝16から
なるもので、これらの施錠溝15及び解錠溝16
は第5図に展開して示すように回動部材5の円周
方向に位置を異にし、隣接溝17を互いに連結し
ている。そして、解錠溝16は、キーKの
“START”位置から“LOCK”(施錠)位置手前
の“OFF”位置まで延びており、“OFF”位置
で、手動操作部材12の内端12aが係合ストツ
パ面16aを有している。一方、施錠溝15は、

そして、運転状態からステアリングシヤフト9を
施錠により固定し、キーシリンダ3からキーKを
抜取るときには、キーKを“OFF”位置に回動
し、押ボタン14を押すと、手動操作部材12の
内端12aが第5図の仮想線位置即ち施錠溝15
内に節度機構で保持される。したがつて、後はキ
ー操作のみによつてキーKを“LOCK”位置に戻
すことができる。また、第5図の仮想線位置か
ら、再びキーKを“START”側に回転する場合
にも、傾斜面18によつて手動操作部材12の内
端12aは解錠溝16に移動するので、従来のよ
うに一坦“LOCK”位置まで廻した後、再び
“START”位置方向へ廻すという煩しい操作を
することなくエンジンを再び起動できるので、便
利である。

錠溝に位置する手動操作部材内端を回動部材の解
錠溝に移行させる傾斜面を形成することを特徴と
するステアリングロツクの操作装置。
