Vegetables, ornamental plants, etc. are cultivated and raised from seeds or plant parts. Figure 7 shows the method for raising Ebine seedlings, a type of orchid. Conventionally, after raising the seedlings in culture bottles, the roots are washed, the seedlings are sterilized, the roots are wrapped in a water basin, and the seedlings are placed in community pots. (hereinafter referred to as CP), and the seedlings planted in this CP were acclimatized and raised in an acclimatization chamber. After the seedlings were acclimatized to the environment outside the culture bottle, they were planted in pots containing culture soil.

Bottle seedling raising in culture bottles involves growing seedlings while replanting them twice (Figure 5). The seedlings 2a grown in this sterilized bottle 5 are taken out from the bottle 5, the roots are washed, and most of the seedlings are
Sterilize the seedlings with sterilized water containing diluted Benlate (DuPont product), Daisen (Daisen product), streptomycin, etc. (seedling sterilization). This sterilization is carried out for the purpose of washing away waste products discharged as the seedlings 2a grow and preventing the generation of mold during the subsequent acclimatization period. The sterilized seedlings 2a are wrapped one by one in a water trough 4 (roots wrapped in a water trough) and planted in CP3 (planted in CP). The seedlings planted in this CP3 (Fig. 6) are grown in an acclimatization room (not shown) by adjusting the temperature, humidity, and light, watering as appropriate, and acclimatizing the seedlings 2a to the environment outside the culture bottle 5. Let (
Acclimatized seedlings in an acclimatization room). If you are raising seedlings on a small scale and do not have an acclimatization room, choose a time suitable for growth, put CP3 in an aquarium or Styrofoam box, cover it with a glass plate or plastic wrap,
Humidity was controlled using misting, etc., and an acclimatization room was used instead. CP seedlings 2c that had grown strong enough were taken out of the acclimatization chamber and planted in pots containing culture soil (planted in culture soil). Seedlings that have grown enough to be planted in culture soil can be grown even in harsh natural environments.

Depending on the type of plant, seedlings had to be raised in an acclimatization chamber for as long as 4 to 5 months under optimal conditions. ■If there was no acclimatization room, we would choose a period suitable for growth, put CP3 in an aquarium or Styrofoam box, cover it with a glass plate or plastic wrap, and control the humidity with mist, etc., and use it instead of an acclimation room. It was difficult to control temperature, light, and humidity.

However, the difficulty of operating each stage of root cleaning, sterilization of seedlings, root wrapping in a water basin, planting in CP, and acclimatization and raising of seedlings in an acclimatization chamber, especially the equipment and control of the acclimation chamber equipment, is difficult for general hobbyists to handle. Because it is difficult, there are many cases where seedlings cannot be raised successfully.

The method of raising seedlings in bottles (Fig. 5) is the same as the conventional method. The seedlings 2a grown in this sterilized bottle 5 are taken out by breaking the bottle 5, and the area around the roots of the seedlings 2a is soaked with clean water such as tap water.
Wash the roots while keeping them together (root washing). This cleaning is to wash away the medium 6 and waste products discharged as the seedlings 2a grow. Sterilization, which was carried out to prevent mold growth during the subsequent acclimatization period, is not necessary for healthy seedlings. The seedlings 2a taken out from the bottle 5, washed, and then broken into a bunch or into several pieces are transplanted into an acclimatization capsule 1, which is a substantially sealed transparent container as shown in FIG. 1 (transplanted into an acclimation capsule). Note that the size and shape of the acclimatization capsule 1 are not particularly limited as long as they can accommodate the whole seedling 2a. Preferably, the size and shape are such that the sterilized bottle 5 can be accommodated therein. Furthermore, transparent known plastics and glass are suitable as the material. It is preferable that the lid 1a can be easily opened and closed, and as long as most of the lid 1a is transparent, the surface area of the lid 1a and the bottom surface 1c may be opaque. This acclimatization capsule 1
When transplanting, do not add any water other than the water that adheres to the roots from washing. Lid 1a of acclimatization capsule 1 containing seedlings 2
Leave the seedlings uncovered and place them indoors in a place that is closest to the right temperature and light (raise the seedlings indoors). There is no problem in opening and closing the lid 1a, which may be opened occasionally.

Moreover, since no water other than the water attached to the seedlings is added when transplanting, the total water content in the acclimatization capsule 1 is approximately constant. Therefore, the seedling 2 evaporates water mainly from the leaves, absorbs water that becomes droplets on the lid 1a and side surface 1b and accumulates on the bottom surface 1c from the roots, and repeats this process to grow while storing it in the necessary parts of the tissue. Since the seedlings grow in the acclimatization capsule 1 which only has a certain amount of water, the water that was excessively absorbed during bottle raising in the sterilized culture bottle 5 is reduced, and the seedlings 2 become thin. If the temperature is appropriate, the generation of new root hairs 2b can be confirmed through the side surface 1b or bottom surface 1c of the acclimatization capsule 1 in about one week. Root hairs 2b correspond to the digestive organs of plants. In the present invention, when transplanting from a bottle, the burden on the roots is minimized, and the root hairs 2b, which are important organs, are rapidly developed. Furthermore, in the method for raising seedlings of cultured plants according to the present invention, it is possible to observe the entire plant, not only the leaves but also the roots. Once the generation of new root hairs 2b is confirmed in almost all of the seedlings, an appropriately diluted liquid fertilizer can be applied to accelerate growth. When the excess water in the acclimatization capsule 1 disappears and the seedlings 2 become strong and compacted, they are planted in culture soil (planted in culture soil). With this method, the conventional step of wrapping the roots in the water basin 4 and planting them close to the CP can be omitted.

It is also possible to grow acclimatized seedlings indoors by placing them in a place closest to light (Figure 2). After the seedlings 2a are acclimatized to the environment outside the culture bottle 5 in the same manner as in the above embodiment, it is also possible to transplant them into pots containing culture soil from CP3 ((FIG. 4)).

The plants are absorbing enough nutrients from the medium and the stems and leaves are growing well, but the root hairs are poorly developed and weak due to excessive moisture. The process of damaging the roots of this weak, blistered seedling 2a (cleaning, sterilization, root wrapping with water drainage, group planting)
Even if the seedlings are planted in CP3 and raised under optimal conditions in an acclimatization room as in the past, it will take time for them to take root and the survival rate will be low.

Since the seedlings are grown on ground seedlings 2, the survival rate is high, and the absorption of nutrients after planting is also abundant, resulting in good growth. Furthermore, even if the external environment is not necessarily optimal for growth, seedlings will grow while adapting to the external environment due to the inherent vitality of the plant.

。[0015] When the generation of new root hairs 2b has been confirmed in almost all of the seedlings, the excess water in the acclimatization capsule 1 has disappeared, and the seedlings have grown into strong, compacted seedlings 2, the bottom 1c of the acclimation capsule 1 has been confirmed. Make a drainage hole and add acclimatization capsule 1.
It is also possible to fill it with culture soil and use it as a flower pot. Here, the explanation has been given using Ebine as an example, but the type of plant is not limited to the example, and it goes without saying that the present invention is applicable not only to germination from seeds but also to cultivation from a part of the plant.

The cultured plants are taken out of the container with the culture medium, stored in a substantially sealed transparent container, and then planted in culture soil, so there is no need to sterilize the seedlings, and it is easy to do without an acclimatization chamber. It is possible to grow quickly, there is no need to water, so there is no need to worry about humidity control, root hairs grow quickly, can be confirmed with the naked eye, and after confirmation, fertilization can be applied. You can obtain solid, strong seedlings that grow quickly.
