Abstract

CONSTITUTION:When a TDM and a terminal equipment are connected, a pin R (reception pin) and a pin S (transmission pin) of the receptacle of the TDM are connected to pins S, R of the receptacle of the terminal equipment respectively by the connection of a switch 1. On the other hand, when the TDM and a MODEM are connected, since the position of the pins S, R are opposite between the MODEM and the terminal equipment, the switch 1 is connected so that the pins S, R of the TDM are respectively connected to the pins R, S of the MODEM. In this case, since the signal line polarity is switched at the TDM, the cables in use are unified to be straight cables only regardless of connected equipments. Thus, the cost is reduced and man-hour for connection is saved.

を使用して接続する方式であり、TDM等の装置側は正
しいケーブルが接続されているか診断するだけであった
。なお、この種の技術として関連するものには、特開昭
63−14256号公報がある。
