By the way, a compression terminal (as is well-known) consists of a compression part into which the conductor protrusion at the end of the cable is fitted and crimped, a rectangular flat plate-like overlapping piece part through which a bolt insertion hole is inserted, and this overlapping piece part. It consists of bolts and nuts that are overlapped and screwed together, so when connected at a right angle or other angle, the outer corner of the rectangular flat plate-like overlapping piece can be squared or taped. This was extremely difficult and required skill to wrap the tape completely around the wall. In addition, the bolt head and nut of the bolt-nut connection protrude from the overlapping piece, and there are significant unevenness, which makes it even more difficult.
This made the taping work described above difficult.

In order to solve the above-mentioned conventional problems, this invention
In a structure that connects the ends of a pair of cables at an angle of less than 180 degrees; a compression part that fits and crimps the conductor protrusion exposed from the end of the cable, and a bolt insertion hole. A compression terminal comprising a rectangular flat plate-shaped overlapping piece portion provided through the terminal, and a bolt/nut connection for overlapping and fastening the overlapping piece portion; a recess into which the overlapping piece portion of the compression terminal is fitted; A rotation prevention hole into which a bolt head or nut of a bolt/nut connection is press-fitted, and a rectangular angle of the overlapping piece are coated to give roundness with a sufficiently large radius of curvature. Equipped with a round part to

When the overlapping pieces of a pair of compression terminals are stacked on top of each other and connected by a bolt-nut connection, the corners of the rectangular flat overlapping pieces are angular, and the bolt head and nut protrude, resulting in many irregularities. When a pair of spacers made of an insulating material are covered from both the front and back sides of such a compression terminal, the square corners are hidden by the rounded part of the spacer with a sufficiently large curvature.
The bolt head and nut are inserted into the hole of the spacer, the unevenness is reduced or smoothed, and from above,
It becomes easy to wind the insulating tape, the efficiency of the taping work is improved, and stable and reliable insulation can be provided. Further, the bolt head and the nut are press-fitted into the hole of the spacer and are prevented from rotating, so that the bolt-nut connection does not loosen.

3 and 4 show the state before the spacer 3 and tapes 4 are covered, and the compression terminal 2 is crimped by fitting the conductor protrusion 5 exposed from the end 1a of the cable 1. a rectangular flat plate-like overlapping piece part 7 having four bolt insertion holes therethrough;
Bolt/nut connections 8 are provided for overlapping and fastening the overlapping pieces 7, 7 with each other. In the illustrated example, the cable 1 is flat, but the present invention can be freely applied to a round cable.

In FIGS. 1 and 2 and FIGS. 5 to 7, the spacer 3 specifically has a recess 9 into which the overlapping piece 7 of the compression terminal 2 is fitted. 9, projecting wall parts 11, 11, 11 forming corner parts 10, 10 in the inner part corresponding to the overlapping piece part 7, and a substantially rectangular base part 12 formed by protruding on three sides. Therefore, it is formed.

In contrast, set it to a sufficiently large value as shown in the following formula.

0.5×h≦M≦2.0×h ... 0.5×h≦N≦2.0×h ... In addition, the inner diameter D of the four circular holes 13 penetrated through the base part 12 is the same as that of the bolt/nut. The hexagonal shape of the bolt head 15 is set slightly smaller than the diameter of the circumscribed circle of the hexagonal shape of the bolt head 15 of the joint 8 and the nut, as shown by the phantom lines in FIGS. 5 and 6. It is press-fitted into the hole 13 and is prevented from rotating. FIG. 8 shows the bolt head 15 press-fitted into the hole 13 in this way. Spacer 3 is made of rubber such as ethylene propylene rubber,
It is made of an insulating material such as plastic, and as shown in FIG. 8, it is slightly elastically deformed and the bolt head 15 (or nut) is inserted to prevent rotation.

Thus, in the spacer 3, rounded portions 17, 17 having a sufficiently large radius of curvature R are formed at portions that cover the corner portions 16, 16 of the overlapping piece portion 7. Therefore, if the rectangular corners 16, 16 of the overlapping piece portion 7 of the compression terminal 2 are covered with the spacer 3, they will be given a roundness with a sufficiently large radius of curvature R. For example, this radius of curvature R is set as shown in the following equation.

The opening end side on the recess 9 side is made large in diameter, and a stepped portion 18 is formed so as to escape the washer. Further, the axial direction dimension H of the hole 13 is desirably set larger than the height of the bolt head and the total height of the nut and washer. It is preferable that the bolts and nuts are smooth and do not protrude.

Next, as shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, the spacers 3, 3 are coated on the overlapping pieces 7, 7 from both the front and back sides to form a surrounding shape, and then the insulating tapes 4 are wrapped around the spacers 3, 3. For example, a self-fusing butyl rubber tape on the inside and an adhesive vinyl tape on the outside are used.
