(24) is given an H level signal. here,

The control circuit (11) of step 1 shifts to monitoring the charging terminal (10) again. In addition, in step A-2, a change in the terminal level (H→L) is detected, so in this case, once the slave unit (2) is placed on the base unit (1), it cannot be lifted again. and does not move to the next step. Then, the main unit (
When the control circuit (11) of 1) detects a line connection request signal, the control circuit (11) closes the telephone line (L) using the line connection circuit (4) and connects the line to the handset (2). A completion signal is sent (steps A-6, 7). Control circuit (24) of handset (2) that detected this line connection completion signal

When the handset is lifted and used, the handset (2) is usually used next to the base unit (1), so the dial operation on the handset (2) is disabled and the dial operation on the base unit (1) is enabled. ing. That is, dial operation monitoring processing (steps A-8 and 9) is performed only on the base unit (1) side. This is because the shape of the handset (2) is severely restricted due to its portability, and the shape of the numeric keypad (18) must also be made small, but the base unit (1) has more restrictions in terms of shape than the handset. Because it is small, the shape of the numeric keypad (8) can be made relatively large, resulting in good operability. Also, the cordless handset (
When dialing from 2), the next step is required as explained above.

However, when dialing on the base unit (1), you can switch to a call state from step ① without pulling down the handset (2), which provides good operability, and has the added advantage of being able to confirm the dial tone. be. In addition, dial operations on both the base unit (1) and slave unit (2) are not enabled.
This is because dial operations may conflict due to an erroneous operation, and in this case, there is a high possibility that an erroneous dial call will be made.

When the call mode is entered from a state where there is no handset, dialing operations can only be performed from the handset side. In other words, if there is no base unit on the handset side, dialing operations on the handset side are automatically allowed, so there is no need to move the handset to the side of the base unit to perform dial operations. It is very convenient. Since the dialing operation of one of the two terminals is always disabled, it is possible to prevent incorrect dialing due to conflicting dialing operations.
