置も提供していない。

を引きくと、ステントアッセンブリ10は第5図に示す
ように、弾性的に、その大きな第2の形状を採る。スリ
ーブ13は、腫瘍がステントの支柱の間で成長するのを
防止し、再狭搾を防ぎ、従来のワイヤステントで可能な
期間よりもさらに長い期間の解決を提供することができ
る。
わしい本発明の他の実施例を図6に示す。経皮ステント
アッセンブリ50は、弾性的に拡張可能なステント51
、52、剛性の支持ロッド52、及びナイロンスリーブ
54をふくむ。ステント51、52は通常は前に述べた
ステント11、12と同じである。ステント51、52
はアッセンブリの両端に位置する接合部55を縫合する
かあるいは接着することによってスリーブ54に取り付
けられる。

Claims (11)
- 【請求項1】経皮ステントアッセンブリであって、内表
面と外表面とを有し、両端が開口した柔軟性を有するス
リーブと、少なくとも1つの弾性を有する圧縮可能なス
テントであって、各ステントが複数の支柱を有し、複数
の支柱はその間に連続した間隙を有するステントと、前
記各ステントによって形成された間隙を前記柔軟性を有
するスリーブよって実質的に覆うように、前記ステント
を前記柔軟性を有するスリーブに取り付ける手段と、経
皮ステントアッセンブリが、前記柔軟性を有するスリー
ブによって形成される軸線にそって収縮するのを防止す
る手段とからなり、それによって前記経皮ステントアッ
センブリは圧縮されたとき小さい第1の形状を形成し、
広がることが可能になったとき大きい第2の形状を弾性
的に形成する経皮ステントアッセンブリ。 - 【請求項2】前記柔軟性を有するスリーブはナイロンで

ステントと剛性の支持ロッドを柔軟性を有するスリーブ
によって実質的に覆うように柔軟性を有するスリーブに
取り付けられており、それによって、経皮ステントアッ
センブリは、弾性的に圧縮されたときに、小さい第1の
形状を形成し、広がることが可能になったときに、大き
い第2の形状を形成し、さらに、それによって、前記支
柱及び剛性の支持ロッドは剛性の支持ロッドによって形
成された軸線に沿って経皮ステントアッセンブリが収縮
するのを防止する経皮ステントアッセンブリ。 - 【請求項7】柔軟性を有するスリーブは、ナイロンから

ら作られている請求項6に記載の経皮ステントアッセン
ブリ。 - 【請求項10】ステントアッセンブリを柔軟性を有する
スリーブに取り付ける手段はステントアッセンブリをプ
ラスチック内に埋め込むことからなる請求項9に記載の
経皮ステントアッセンブリ。 - 【請求項11】互いに平行に各ステント間に位置決めさ
れた複数の剛性の支持ロッドからなり、前記各支持ロッ
ドの各々の端部は1つのステントに取り付けられている
