Conventionally, there is a control device for this type of electromagnetic solenoid as shown in FIG. In the figure, 1 is an electromagnetic solenoid, 2 is a power supply control transistor, and 3 is a signal exchange transistor that drives this power supply control transistor 2. At the base of this signal exchange transistor 3, there is a
A power supply control signal S V as shown in FIG . The excitation current is controlled. Reference numeral 4 indicates a duty control transistor to which a duty control signal S D as shown in FIG. a diode that prevents reverse current when a reverse voltage is applied and circulates the current of the electromagnetic solenoid 1 when the power supply control transistor 2 is off and the duty control transistor 4 is on;
6 is the base resistance of the power supply control transistor 2, 7
is the base resistance of the duty control transistor 4, and 8 is a constant voltage diode that absorbs the instantaneous surge voltage when the duty control transistor 4 is turned off.
The rate of decrease of the excitation current is determined. However, this constant voltage diode 8 is not necessarily necessary, but is necessary as long as it is within the safe operating range of the duty control transistor 4.

By the way, the power supply voltage V SOL of electromagnetic solenoid 1
In order to guarantee operation, the power supply voltage is increased during the initial overexcitation current power supply, and the power supply voltage is decreased during the holding current power supply. Further, this power supply voltage has a period shorter than at least the electric circuit time constant and mechanical time constant of the electromagnetic solenoid 1, and is average voltage controlled using a pulse width modulated power supply waveform whose peak value is the power supply voltage value.

However, according to such a conventional electromagnetic solenoid control device, while power is being supplied from the power source to the electromagnetic solenoid 1, both the circuits in FIGS. 5 and 7 have a transistor for power supply control and a transistor for duty control. Since both are on at the same time, there is a problem in that the voltage drop inside the circuit becomes large. For this reason, sufficient allowance must be made for voltage fluctuations of the electromagnetic solenoid 1. Furthermore, since the same current as the solenoid current flows through the duty control transistors 4 and 4a, a large amount of heat is generated due to power loss. Furthermore, with a single power source, either one of the terminals of the electromagnetic solenoid 1 is directly connected to a positive power supply terminal or a negative power supply terminal, and the power supply control and duty control of this solenoid can be performed. There were no controls.

In this circuit, one input terminal 1a of the electromagnetic solenoid 1 is directly grounded, and the other input terminal 1b is connected to the collector of the power supply control transistor 2. Further, the emitter of a duty control transistor 4 is also connected to the input terminal 1b of the electromagnetic solenoid 1 via a reverse current blocking diode 9, and the collector of the duty control transistor 4 is grounded. That is,
The reverse current blocking diode 9 has its anode connected to the emitter of the duty control transistor 4, and its cathode connected to the input terminal 1b of the electromagnetic solenoid 1, and is connected to block reverse voltage of the duty control transistor 4. . Therefore, if the duty control transistor 4 has a withstand voltage, the reverse current blocking diode 9 may be omitted.

A particular difference from the conventional configuration is that in the power supply mode when the power supply control transistor 2 is on, power is supplied to the electromagnetic solenoid 1 only through the transistor 2. That is, the power supply mode of the electromagnetic solenoid 1 is divided into a non-power supply mode, a power supply mode in which power is supplied from the power source, and a circulation mode using the inductance of the solenoid. The duty control transistor 4 is reverse biased in voltage when the power supply control transistor 2 is turned on, and no current flows therethrough. Therefore, in the power supply mode, no solenoid current flows through the duty control transistor 4, and no voltage drop occurs due to the duty control transistor 4.

On the other hand, when the power supply control transistor 2 is off and the duty control transistor 4 is on,
The reflux mode is set, and the current of the solenoid 1 flows through the duty control transistor 4 due to the action of the solenoid's inductance. Further, at the instant when the power supply control transistor 2 is off and the duty control transistor 4 is turned off, early cutting can be performed at the current reduction rate determined by the voltage of the constant voltage diode 8. That is, it is the same as the conventional quick cut function.

Next, a method of driving the base of the duty control transistor 4, which has conventionally been considered impossible in this type of circuit, will be described. In other words, a PNP transistor is used as the power supply control transistor 2, and a PNP transistor is used as the duty control transistor 4.
By using an NPN transistor, the base current in the freewheeling mode can be supplied by the PNP signal conversion transistor 10.
That is, in the freewheeling mode, as the emitter voltage of the duty control transistor 4 decreases, a base current flows to the duty control transistor 4 through the path of the positive power supply terminal, the signal conversion transistor 10, and the resistor 7, and the electromagnetic solenoid With the same power supply (single power supply) as the current supplied to the transistor 1, that is, without providing a separate power supply, the duty control transistor 4 is ensured to be turned on, and a return current flows.

FIG. 2 is a circuit diagram showing another embodiment in which the reverse current blocking diode 9 shown in FIG. 1 is connected between the collector of the duty control transistor 4 and the ground. It goes without saying that the backflow blocking diode 9 may be connected in this manner. By connecting the reverse current blocking diode 9 to such a position, current flows in the path of the positive power supply terminal - the signal conversion transistor 10 - the resistor 7 - the constant voltage diode 8 - the reverse current blocking diode 9 - the negative power supply terminal. No flow occurs, and the loss at the resistor 7 is reduced.

Although we have shown an example of a circuit using an NPN type transistor as a duty control transistor, as shown in Figure 3, an NPN type transistor is used as a power supply control transistor.
Instead of the PNP type transistor 2a, a PNP type transistor 4a may be used as the duty control transistor. In this case, the input terminal 1a of the electromagnetic solenoid 1 is directly connected to a high potential power source, and the input terminal 1b is connected to the collector of a transistor 2a for power supply control. Then, the collector of this transistor 2a is connected to the emitter of a duty control transistor 4a via a reverse current blocking diode 9a,
The collector of this transistor 4a is connected to a high potential power supply. By doing this, in the power supply mode when the transistor 2a for power supply control is on, power is supplied to the electromagnetic solenoid 1 only through the transistor 2a, and the transistor 2a for power supply control is off. , in the freewheeling mode when the duty control transistor 4a is on,
The current of solenoid 1 flows through transistor 4a. Further, at the moment when the power supply control transistor 2a is off and the duty control transistor 4a is turned off, the current can be rapidly reduced to the rate of decrease determined by the voltage of the constant voltage diode 8a. By using an NPN type as the power supply control transistor 2a and using a PNP type as the duty control transistor 4a, the base current in the freewheeling mode can be supplied using the NPN type signal conversion transistor 3a. That is, in the freewheeling mode, as the emitter voltage of the duty control transistor 4a increases, the duty control transistor 4a increases.
The base current flows to the duty control transistor 4a through the path a-resistor 7a-signal conversion transistor 3a-negative power supply terminal, and is supplied from the same power supply (single power supply) as the power supply to the electromagnetic solenoid 1, that is, from a separate power supply. Without providing a power source, the duty control transistor 4a is ensured to be turned on, and a return current flows.

As explained above, according to the electromagnetic solenoid control device according to the present invention, the freewheeling current flows through the duty control transistor only in the freewheeling mode of the electromagnetic solenoid, reducing the voltage drop inside the control circuit, and reducing the voltage drop within the duty control transistor. This makes it possible to suppress heat generation. Also,
With a single power supply, with one end of the solenoid directly connected to the power supply terminal, the power supply control function and early cutoff control function can be obtained.
