2. Description of the Related Art Automatic cleaning of ink supply rollers is disclosed, for example, in Japanese Patent Application No. 1-36016. This cleaning method uses a solvent to soften the ink remaining on the ink supply roller that applies ink to the plate surface, and then presses a cleaning cloth against the ink supply roller and moves it intermittently or continuously to clean the softened ink. The cleaning cloth is impregnated and retained in the solvent absorbing layer of the cloth, and then the cleaning cloth is discarded. Disposal methods include cutting the used cleaning cloth with a cutter when it reaches an appropriate length, or winding it up into a roll. In the case of a cleaning cloth whose solvent absorption layer contains an oil coagulant, the used cleaning cloth is heated with a heater, and the absorbed ink is solidified or gelatinized by cooling after heating, and then disposed of.

[Problems to be Solved by the Invention] By the way, when processing by cutting with a cutter, when handling the solvent-absorbing layer with the side facing the worker, there are cases where the worker touches this side and stains his work clothes and body. If you try to handle the product without facing the layer side toward the worker, you may touch surrounding objects and contaminate them. In addition, in roll-winding processing, the solvent absorption layer is handled facing the operator and surrounding objects, so care must be taken to avoid ink stains, which reduces work efficiency. .

[Operation] After softening the ink adhering to the ink supply roller with a solvent, a cleaning cloth is pressed against the ink supply roller,
Wipe off ink and cleaning waste from the roller surface. This wiping operation is performed by driving a winding roll to wind up the cleaning cloth continuously or intermittently. As shown in FIG. 1, the used cleaning cloth that has absorbed ink and cleaning waste is wound up in reverse so that its solvent absorbing layer is on the shaft side of the winding roll. That is, since the solvent absorbing layer is located inside the solvent impermeable layer and is not exposed on the roll surface, the take-up roll can be easily handled when replacing the roll. In addition, when using a cleaning cloth whose side edges are wrapped in a solvent-impermeable layer, the solvent-absorbing layer into which ink and cleaning waste permeates is the solvent-impermeable layer on the roll surface side and the solvent-impermeable layer inside the solvent-impermeable layer. It is encapsulated by a solvent-impermeable layer on the layer and side edges. Therefore, the ink and cleaning waste in the solvent absorbing layer are trapped inside and do not seep out from the take-up roll, making the take-up roll easier to handle.
