Abstract

PURPOSE:To roll a yarn on a bobbin correctly without generation of folding by installing the first guide roller at a right angle to the takeup bobbin shaft and the final guide roller with an angle of -5 deg. + or -10 deg., and arranging intermediate guide rollers so that their angular difference to adjoining ones is below 45deg. CONSTITUTION:The first guide roller 31a is installed at a right angle to the takeup bobbin shaft 4, while the final guide roller 31e installed with an angle of -5 deg. + or -10 deg.. Between these two guide rollers 31a, 31e, a plurality of guide rollers 31b... are arranged so that their angular difference to adjoining ones lies below 45 deg.. Because of negative angle of the final guide roller 31e, the width change when a tape-form fiber bundle 2 is twisted for making traversing can be suppressed, which leads to lessening of width change of the tape-form fiber bundle due to traversing of the traverse guide 31 to the left and right. Thereby the flat surface of the fiber bundle becomes parallel to the bobbin shaft, and there is no risk of generation of any folding.

[Prior Art] In recent years, in the field of composite materials that use high-strength, high-modulus fibers such as carbon fibers, glass fibers, acrylic fibers, and polyvinyl alcohol-based fibers as reinforcement materials, there has been a trend toward weight reduction and diversification of applications. This trend is remarkable, and as a result, there has been a strong demand for thinner so-called prepregs, in which reinforcing fibers are impregnated with matrix resin and cured. For this reason, non-twisted and flat reinforcing fibers have come to be used instead of the conventional so-called rope-like reinforcing fibers.

[0003] Such untwisted, flat reinforcing fiber bundles (hereinafter simply referred to as tape-like fiber bundles) are once wound onto a bobbin and packaged. A method of traversing is used. In this traverse method, the tape-shaped fiber bundle is generally traversed parallel to the bobbin axis by restraining the flat plane of the tape-like fiber bundle with a guide roller arranged perpendicularly to the bobbin axis. That is, as shown in FIG. 5, the tape-shaped fiber bundle 2 is traversed from the supply roller 1 to the rotating bobbin 4 while being restrained by the guide roller 30 held perpendicular to the rotation axis of the bobbin 4. The bobbin is wound up (the driving source for the bobbin is not shown). Such guide rollers are usually a pair of freely rotating rollers, and the gap between the guide rollers is set to be equal to or larger than the thickness of the tape-shaped fiber bundle. Then, the guide roller 30 is caused to traverse in the direction of the rotation axis of the bobbin 4 while restraining the traveling tape-like fiber bundle 2.

[Problems to be Solved by the Invention] In such conventional winding examples of tape-shaped fiber bundles, the tape-shaped fiber bundles are always twisted at an angle of 90° between the guide roller and the rotation axis of the bobbin. Since the twisting direction changes to the opposite direction at the traverse end, the package 5
The tape-like fiber bundle is folded back at the end of the tape so that the front and back sides appear alternately, and a crease is created there. Folded portions due to such twisting may occur at locations other than the ends of the tape-like fiber bundle. The folded portion of such a tape-shaped fiber bundle reduces the spreadability when the tape-shaped fiber bundles are aligned in one direction during prepreg processing, and as a result, gaps are created between the tape-shaped fiber bundles, which is a drawback. There was a problem in that it was difficult to obtain a desired thin product. That is, an object of the present invention is to solve the above-mentioned problems of the prior art, and to make it possible to wind reinforcing fiber bundles of fiber-reinforced resin etc. onto a bobbin in a regular manner in a twilled manner without creating any bent portions. Our goal is to provide you with a traverse guide that can help you.

First, the traverse guide 31 of the present invention has the following features:
As shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, the first guide roller 31a has an angle θ1 substantially perpendicular to the rotation axis of the winding bobbin 4 (hereinafter simply referred to as the bobbin axis), and the first guide roller 31a has an angle θe of - The final guide roller 31e has an angle of 5°±10°, and the angle difference θ between adjacent guide roller axes is at most 45°, preferably 35°.
It is composed of at least one or more guide rollers 31b, 31c, . . . 31e arranged as follows.

[0009] Each guide roller in this case is generally a rod-shaped body, and the dimensions etc. may be appropriately determined depending on the thickness (ie, total denier, etc.) of the tape-like fiber bundle. It is also desirable to select materials, surface treatments, etc. that can withstand long-term operation and do not cause fuzz or the like on the tape-shaped fiber bundle. Furthermore, each guide roller has an integral structure with their axes connected to each other, so the angle of each guide roller to the bobbin axis can be maintained constant, and vibrations during operation can be reduced, allowing long-term operation. becomes possible.

(Operation) When winding up the tape-shaped fiber bundle, the tape-shaped fiber bundle 2 is guided to the traverse guide 31 of the present invention via the supply roller 1 arranged at right angles to the bobbin axis.

The entrance portion of this traverse guide 31, that is, the first guide roller 31a, makes an angle θ1 substantially perpendicular to the bobbin axis, but if this angle θ1 deviates significantly from the right angle, the tape-shaped fiber bundle 2 Since the guide roller 31a is displaced in the width direction during traverse, the end face of the package may be disturbed or the fiber bundle may come off the guide.

Further, the guide rollers after the second guide roller 31b have an angular difference θ between adjacent guide rollers of 45° or less at maximum, preferably 35° or less, as shown in FIG.
The arrangement is such that the tape-shaped fiber bundle is gradually twisted. At this time, since the phase difference in twist is larger at both ears of the tape-like fiber bundle than at the center, a tension distribution occurs in the width direction of the tape-like fiber bundle. Therefore, if the tape-shaped fiber bundle is twisted too rapidly in this region, the width of the tape-shaped fiber bundle becomes narrow in that region, or a phenomenon occurs in which the tape-shaped fiber bundle is folded and overlapped. In order to avoid this phenomenon, the angle difference θ between adjacent guide rollers should be set to 45° or less.
Preferably, it is 35 degrees or less, but if the angle difference θ is too small, the load on the device will increase, such as the need to increase the number of guide rollers, so it is desirable to select an appropriate angle difference θ. .

Finally, the final guide roller is wound so that the angle θe with respect to the bobbin axis is -5°±1 so that the flat surface of the tape-like fiber bundle is substantially parallel to the bobbin axis.
It is within the range of 0° (i.e. -15° to +5°). If the angle θe is out of the range of −5°±10°, new problems will occur, such as not being able to stably wind the package or causing the package to collapse, which is not preferable.

That is, when a tape-shaped fiber bundle is traversed by a traverse guide, a phenomenon may occur in which the width of the tape-shaped fiber bundle varies depending on the direction of traverse. This will be explained with reference to FIG. 1 and FIGS. 3(a) to 3(c).

First, in FIG. 3(a), which shows the traverse guide in a stationary state, the course of the tape-shaped fiber bundle 2 does not change, so its width is always constant. On the other hand, in FIG. 3(b), the traverse guide 31 is moving rightward, and the tape-shaped fiber bundle 2 reaches the bobbin 4 after being delayed from the traverse guide 31 rearward. This backward delay extends to the inside of the traverse guide 31, so the tape-like fiber bundle moves toward the back of the guide roller group shown in FIG. It tends to be wider than time. In addition, in FIG. 3C showing the case where the traverse guide 31 moves to the left, the phenomenon in which the tape-shaped fiber bundle 2 follows the traverse guide 31 from behind is the same, but the tape-shaped fiber bundle 2
Since it moves in front of the guide roller group shown in , that is, in a direction that strengthens the twisting, the width tends to be narrower than when it is not traversing. As described above, the phenomenon of follow-up delay inside the traverse guide 31 causes a difference in the width of the tape-shaped fiber bundle depending on the direction of traverse.

[0016] Such a phenomenon is caused by width management of the tape-shaped fiber bundle,
This is a problem especially when the width fluctuation is important, and the wound diameter of the rolled package is small in the part corresponding to the right end of package 5 in Figure 1 and large in the part corresponding to the left end. Because of the slope, such a package is prone to unrolling. Such problems are
This problem can be solved by making the angle θe of the final guide roller 31e negative. Here, when the angle θe is negative, it means that the guide roller shaft is directed downward from the reference line with a line parallel to the bobbin axis as the reference line as shown in FIG. 2 (when the angle θe is positive, the guide roller axis points above its reference line).

Further, referring to FIGS. 1 and 3, when traversing is performed by setting the angle θe of the final guide roller 31e to −5°, for example, the state in which the traverse guide 31 moves to the right (FIG. In (b)), the tape-shaped fiber bundle 2 between the final guide roller 31e and the bobbin 4 is
is the direction in which the twist corresponding to the angle of 5° of the final guide roller is strengthened, and tends to offset the twist relaxation due to the follow-up delay described above. Conversely, when the traverse guide 31 moves to the left (FIG. 3(c)), the tape-like fiber bundle 2 is in the direction of relaxing the twist corresponding to the 5° angle of the final guide roller. tends to offset the torsional strengthening of By making the angle θe of the final guide roller 31e negative in this way, the tape-shaped fiber bundle 2
Because the width change when traversing by twisting is suppressed,
As a result, the traverse guide 31 can reduce the change in width of the tape-shaped fiber bundle due to traverse in the left-right direction. However, the final guide roller 31 having such a role
If the angle θe of e exceeds −15°, the total angle of twist becomes excessive and stable winding becomes impossible. On the other hand, the object of the present invention can be achieved even if the angle θe is non-parallel to a maximum of +5°. When a traverse guide made of such a combination of guide rollers is used, the flat plane of the tape-like fiber bundle becomes substantially parallel to the bobbin axis, and the tape-like fiber bundle is folded not only at the end of the traverse but also at other parts, so that no creases are formed. It will never occur.

Next, another embodiment of the traverse guide of the present invention will be described. FIG. 4 is a perspective view showing another embodiment of the traverse guide of the present invention. As shown in the figure, the traverse guide 32 of the present invention has an entrance surface 32a having an angle θa substantially perpendicular to the bobbin axis, and an exit surface 32b having an angle θb relative to the bobbin axis of -5°±10°. , between its inlet and outlet surfaces, (θa

The traverse guide 32 may be plate-shaped or box-shaped. In the case of a box shape, there is no need to attach other auxiliary tools as the box is restrained by the two inner sides of the box during traverse, but in the case of a plate shape, the tape-like fiber bundle may separate from the traverse guide during traverse. In order to prevent this, it is desirable to provide a separation prevention device at the entrance. For example, a slit-type or comb-shaped guide, or a guide roller-like detachment prevention device as shown in FIG. 4 is suitable for preventing the detachment.

(Function) The traverse guide 32 in this example is of a type that twists the tape-shaped fiber bundle 2 along a curved surface, and has an inlet surface 32a and an outlet surface arranged at a predetermined angle with respect to the bobbin axis. The tape-shaped fiber bundle 2 is made to run along a structure in which the part surface 32c is continuously connected by the curved surface 32b that is gradually twisted. When the tape-like fiber bundle 2 is wound up using this traverse guide, a forced twist is gradually applied to the tape-like fiber bundle 2, and the flat plane of the tape-like fiber bundle 2 becomes substantially parallel to the bobbin axis. It will not be folded back at the ends to create creases. Also, in this case, the tape-like fiber bundle 2 is wound up following the operation of the traverse guide, so the width of the tape-like fiber bundle becomes wider or narrower depending on the direction of traverse.
In the present invention, the angle θb of the outlet surface 32c is set to −5°±
By setting the angle in the range of 10°, it is possible to reduce the change in the width of the tape-shaped fiber bundle due to the direction of traverse described above.
