Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable efficient heat discharge and stabilize operation by providing a plurality of grooves at the outside of an anode substrate forming a fluorescent character display tube, and providing projections on a heat discharge board to fit in the grooves respectively so as to install the heat discharge board in the anode substrate. CONSTITUTION:A saw-toothed grooves are formed on the outer surface of an anode substrate 1a, and projections to fit in the grooves are formed on a heat discharge board 2a, whereby the board 2 is installed in the substrate 1a and bonded to each other. Heat conduction between the two 1a, 2a is increased to efficiently discharge heat from the substrate 1a and stabilize operation.
