れるべき管内に前記閉鎖端部側から挿入される円
筒形のセルと、該セルの内部に配置され、引張り
用治具が螺合されるねじ穴が軸線方向に貫設され
ている中子とを備え、前記中子を前記セルの閉鎖
端部から開放端部に移動させた場合に前記セルが
くさび作用により外方に押し広げられて前記管の
内周面と密着するようになつている管閉止用のメ
カニカルプラグにおいて、 (a) 前記ねじ穴に螺合される第１ねじ部と、該
第１ねじ部から前記セルの開放端部に延びる軸部
と、該軸部の外周に形成された第２ねじ部とを有
しているガイド棒、 (b) 前記ガイド棒の前記第２ねじ部に螺合され
るパツキン押え、及び (c) 前記開放端部側の前記中子の端面と前記パ
ツキン押えとの間で圧縮変形されて前記ガイド棒
の前記軸部の外周面と前記セルの内周面との間を
密閉する環状のパツキン、 を備えることを特徴とする管閉止用のメカニカル
