Tape cassette, for example VH3 (VH8
A tape cassette 1 used in a VTR (registered trademark of Nippon Victor Co., Ltd.) has a notch 1c approximately in the center of a front cover 1a and a lower cassette half 1b. Further, approximately in the center of the holding means 152 is a notch I of the tape cassette 1.
A protrusion 152a is formed to correspond to C (see FIG. 21). Therefore, when the tape cassette 1 is inserted in the normal direction from the cassette insertion opening 140 (hereinafter abbreviated as normal insertion), the tape cassette 1 can be inserted while avoiding the protrusion 152a. After this, when the tape cassette 1 is further inserted into the holding means 152, the exposed portion 1d (see FIG. 18) of the lower cassette 1b (see FIG. 18) engages with the operating portion 157b of the mounting lever 157, as shown in FIG. match. Therefore, the mounting lever 157 rotates clockwise around the boss portion 156 to release the engagement with the protruding portion 155a of the top plate 155.

The mounting lever 207 is connected via a locking part 207a that engages with a protrusion 208a of a top plate 208 installed between the side plates 150 and 151, an actuation part 207b that engages with the tape cassette 1, and a tension spring 209. It is composed of a biased portion 207c that engages with the holding means 202, and is biased counterclockwise in FIG. 2 by a tension spring 209.

Now, when an external force is applied to the operating portion 207b of the mounting lever 207 in the direction of the arrow, the mounting lever 207 rotates clockwise around the boss portion 205 against the biasing force of the tension spring 209.
This allows the top plate 208 to be released from its engagement with the protrusion 208a. Therefore, the holding means 202 is guided by the guide groove 153 of the side plate 150 so that it can slide. On the other hand, if no external force is applied to the actuating portion 207b of the mounting lever 207 in the direction indicated by the arrow, and an external force is applied to the holding means 202 in the direction indicated by the arrow, the mounting lever 207 will have a locking portion 207a that extends beyond the protrusion of the top plate 208. It is locked by the portion 208a.

As described above, according to this embodiment, when the tape cassette is inserted into the holding means, the tape cassette has the first engaging portion that engages near the side wall on the supply tape winding body side on the outer peripheral surface of the tape cassette, and An operating position located on the tape winding body side and preventing the tape cassette from moving from a first position where the tape cassette is inserted into the holding means to a second position where the tape cassette is completely attached to the holding means, and a second position of the tape cassette from the first position. A first blocking part that is movable to a non-operating position and a non-operating position that does not impede the movement of the tape cassette to the first engaging part, and has a first blocking part that moves from the operating position to the non-operating position when the tape cassette is engaged with the first engaging part. and a second engaging portion that engages in the vicinity of the side wall on the take-up tape wrapping body side on the outer peripheral surface of the tape cassette when the tape cassette is inserted into the holding device, and the second engaging portion is located on the supply tape wrapping body side. and is movable between an operating position that prevents the tape cassette from moving from the first position to the second position and a non-operating position that does not prevent the tape cassette from moving from the first position to the second position, and a second blocking means having a second blocking part that moves from the operating position to the non-operating position when the tape cassette is engaged with the second engaging part;
When the tape cassette is inserted into the holding means from the cassette insertion opening with the side wall facing the cassette insertion direction, the tape cassette is placed in a position where it engages only one of the first engaging part and the second engaging part. By arranging the first blocking means and the second blocking means, a cassette of a specific shape (for example, VH
It is highly versatile because it can prevent vertical insertion of not only tape cassettes (standard 8) but also tape cassettes of any shape. Furthermore, since there is no need to provide a protrusion approximately in the center of the holding means, the degree of freedom in designing the holding means is increased, the holding means is simplified, and material costs are reduced. Furthermore, since it is possible to operate reliably with an extremely simple mechanism, cost reduction and high reliability can be achieved.
