Furthermore, in order to improve the start-up during startup, it is known that an auxiliary amalgam for startup is provided near the filament, and a low-temperature amalgam is provided at a position somewhat distant from the filament. In this case, in order to improve the start-up upon restart, it is necessary that mercury be preferentially absorbed into the auxiliary amalgam when the lamp is turned off.
Therefore, it is known that a low-temperature amalgam is housed in an exhaust pipe led out from a flare stem to reduce the conductance, thereby making it difficult for mercury to be adsorbed by the low-temperature amalgam when the light is turned off.

There is a problem in that the engine collides with the exhaust pipe sealing cut portion where sealing distortion remains, applying an impact to the exhaust pipe sealing cut portion, and causing a crack.

Furthermore, when the tip of the flare stem is pinch-processed during production of the flare stem, the stopper member can be integrally sealed and fixed to the pinch portion, and the structure can be configured without complicating the exhaust process. can.

Flare stems 11 (only one of which is shown) are hermetically sealed to both ends of each. The flared stem 11 includes a flared portion 11a welded to the end of the valve 10, a pinched portion 11b formed at the tip of the flared portion 11a, and a pinched portion 11b.
It consists of an exhaust pipe 12 led out from the valve to the outside of the valve. An opening 12a communicating with the exhaust pipe 12 is formed on the side surface of the pinch portion 11b, and the exhaust pipe 12 communicates with the inside of the valve 10 through this opening 12a. The outer end of this exhaust pipe 12 has a seal 12

することができる。 The stopper member 21 is sealed integrally with the pinch portion 11b when the flare stem 11 is manufactured. That is, when manufacturing the flared stem 11, the flared portion 11 whose tip is not yet pinched
The exhaust pipe 12 is inserted into the tube a, the flared part 11a is heated and softened, and then the tip of the flared part 11a is pinched to seal the exhaust pipe 12 and the internal conductive wires 15, 15. By dropping the stopper member 21 into the exhaust pipe 12 from the outer opening of the exhaust pipe 12 at an appropriate time before pinching the tip, the base of the stopper member 21 is integrally sealed to the pinch part 11b. This allows the stopper member 21 to be fixed within the exhaust pipe 12.

2に充分水銀を吸着させることができる。 When the fluorescent lamp having the above structure is started, the mercury getter 2 is heated by the heat of the filament 16.
Since mercury is quickly released from 2, the start-up is good at startup. Also, when the lights are off, the Mercury Getter 2
2 absorbs mercury, and the low-temperature amalgam 20 also absorbs mercury. In this case, mercury passes through the exhaust pipe 12, but since the exhaust pipe 12 is provided with the stopper member 21, the conductance is small and adsorption to the amalgam 20 can be delayed. Therefore, mercury getter 2 for starting
2 can sufficiently adsorb mercury.
そして上記のような構成によれば、アマルガム

By locating the amalgam 20 inward by the dimension L from the end surface 10a, the amalgam 20 can be sufficiently separated from the exhaust pipe sealing portion 12b.
It is possible to prevent the exhaust pipe 12 from melting and flowing out into the valve 10, and the length of the exhaust pipe 12 can be made equal to that of the conventional one, so that the protrusion does not become an obstacle.

ある。 In this case, a glass rod is used as the stopper member 21. The stopper member 21 made of this glass rod is the same as that of the first embodiment in that it is sealed integrally with the pinch portion 11b, but by using a glass rod with low thermal conductivity, This is effective in preventing heat from the filament side from being transmitted to the amalgam 20 side, and from becoming too high.

In addition, since the stopper member was fixed by sealing its base to the pinch part of the flare stem,
The stopper member is easy to fix, and the evacuation process and amalgam injection can be performed with the stopper member already assembled into a part of the stem, which has great effects such as not complicating the evacuation process. .
