る。 That is, a cold air passage and a hot air passage are provided in this heater unit, and the air supplied from the blower unit is distributed and introduced into both passages according to the position of the distribution door, and is also introduced into the hot air passage. The air is heated by a heater core installed on the passage, and then the air that has passed through both passages is combined and sent from each air outlet through a duct to the air outlet in each part of the car. It is configured. In this case, the air outlets include a front heater outlet, a rear heater outlet, a defroster outlet, left, right and center vent outlets, and doors for opening and closing these outlets, respectively. The air blowing mode is set by selectively opening and closing these doors through operations by the occupant, and the blowing temperature is adjusted by the position of the distribution door.

For example, Japanese Utility Model Application Publication No. 60-49008 discloses the following idea to improve this. That is, this idea is
In an automobile air conditioner configured to combine cold air distributed by an air mixer shutter (distribution door) and flowing out from a cold air outlet with hot air heated by a heater core, and blow the mixture into the vehicle interior from the outlet, A feature is that the cold air outlet is provided with a guide flange protruding inward from the case that guides the cold air toward the approximate center of the merging section, thereby improving the mixing of cold air and hot air. It will be improved.

In addition to mixing hot air and cold air well as described above, this air is also
It is necessary to send a sufficient amount of air from the air outlets, but in the configuration shown in the above publication, the air (cold air) collides with the guide flange, which weakens the force and reduces the amount of air sent from each outlet. It's inconsiderate.
In particular, if the air outlet is provided on the side of the case due to the structure of the heater unit or the layout of the surrounding area, it becomes difficult for air to be introduced into the air outlet from the confluence of the hot air passage and the cold air passage. The required amount of air will not be delivered.

In the structure in which the air introduced into the heater unit case is divided into a hot air passage that passes through the heater core and a cold air passage that does not pass through the core, the air is merged again and sent out from the air outlet to each part of the vehicle interior. An air outlet for the defroster is provided near the confluence of the hot air passage and the cold air passage on the side surface of the case, and a defroster duct with a defroster door installed in the outlet is provided in a protruding manner on the outer surface of the case. A constriction part is provided at a position upstream of the confluence part of the passage with the hot air passage, the constriction part protruding inward of the case and constricting the passage cross-sectional area of the cold air passage. and,
The defroster door is extended inward of the case so that its inner end protrudes into the case at least to the vicinity of the inner end surface of the throttle portion.

The flow velocity will be increased when passing through the section, and therefore the cold air and the hot air will be mixed well at the confluence section of both passages. When this air flows into the defroster duct from the confluence section through the air outlet provided on the side of the heater unit case, the defroster door that opens and closes the duct extends inward of the case.
The air is guided smoothly and reliably into the defroster duct by the extension of the door, so that if the defroster air maintains its momentum, it will be sufficiently delivered.

To explain with a diagram, first, a heater core 10 is installed in the unit 1 at a position directly below the air inlet 3 to which engine cooling water is supplied and heats the air passing around the air inlet 3. A distribution door 11 is provided inside. The distribution door 11 is located at a first position along the upper side of the air inlet 3, indicated by a chain line A, and at a first position along the upper side of the air inlet 3, indicated by a chain line B, and at a first position along the upper side of the air inlet 3, indicated by a chain line B, about a support shaft 11a supported at the top corner of the air inlet 3, which is approximately fan-shaped. 3, and when in the first position A, the entire amount of air introduced from the inlet 3 is guided to the hot air passage A passing through the heater core 10. When it is in position B, the entire amount of air is guided to the cold air passage B that does not pass through the heater core 10, and when it is in the position shown by the solid line C between the first and second positions A and B, it corresponds to that position. Air is distributed to both passages A and B in proportion. And the above hot air passage A
The defroster is guided from below the heater core 10 to the cold air passage B side by a guide wall 12 erected inside the case 2, and both passages A and B are opened on the side of the air inlet 3. They are designed to merge at a merging portion C near the air outlet 8. Here, the distribution door 11 is integrally provided with an auxiliary door 11 on the opposite side of the support shaft 11a, and when the distribution door 11 is in the second position B, the air inlet 3 and the upstream part of the hot air passage A are connected. When the auxiliary door 11 shuts off the downstream part of the passage A and the merging part C, the air introduced into the cold air passage B side flows through the hot air passage A toward the heater core 10 side. It is designed to prevent water from flowing backwards.

It is led to the front heater air outlet 6 to the rear heater outlet 7 through a heater passage E formed between the front heater air outlet 6 and the peripheral wall 2a.
The air outlets 4, 5 for the center vent and the left and right vents are provided with doors 13, 14 that swing around support shafts 13a, 14, respectively, to open and close these outlets 4, 5, and A door 15 is provided at the entrance of the heater passage E to open and close the passage E by swinging about a support shaft 15a.

When the distribution door 11 is in the first position A, the air is guided to the hot air passage A, when the door 11 is in the second position B, the air is guided to the cold air passage B, and when the door 11 is in the intermediate position C, the air is guided to the hot air passage A. Air of uniform temperature must be sent out from each outlet. On the other hand, in this heater unit 1, constricted portions 17, 17 are provided on the cold air passage B between the air inlet 3 and the confluence portion C.
is provided to narrow the cross-sectional area of the passage B, the flow velocity of the air (cold air) passing through the passage B is increased, and the hot air flowing from the hot air passage A side at the merging portion C is increased. If the defroster air were to be delivered later, the direction of the air flow would have to bend outward, resulting in less momentum and not enough air being delivered. However, in this heater unit 1, the door portions 16b, 16b at both ends of the defroster door 16, which open and close the internal passages of the defroster ducts 9, 9 connected to the defroster air outlets 8, 8, 8 and extends and protrudes inward from the case, so that the air flows from the hot air passage A side and the cold air passage B side, respectively, as shown by arrows a and b in Figures 2 to 4. While merging at the merging portion C, the door portion 16b,
It is received by the extension portions 16b〓, 16b〓 of 16b and is smoothly and reliably guided into the defroster air outlets 8, 8 or the defroster ducts 9, 9. As a result, the required amount of defroster air is delivered from the heater unit 1 during the defroster mode.

Air will be pumped into the car. Furthermore, even if the air outlet for the defroster is opened on the side of the case due to the structure of the heater unit or the layout of the surrounding area, it is possible to reliably send out the required amount of air during the defroster mode. As a result, the performance of the heater unit in this type of air conditioner is improved.

の空気調和装置。 Air conditioning for an automobile in which air introduced into a heater unit case is divided into a hot air passage that passes through a heater core and a cold air passage that does not pass through the core, and then is combined again and sent to various parts of the car from an air outlet. In the device, an air outlet for a defroster is provided near a confluence of a hot air passage and a cold air passage on a side surface of the case, and a defroster duct having a defroster door installed therein is connected to the outlet. , a constriction part is provided on the upstream side of the confluence part of the cold air passage with the hot air passage, the constriction part protruding inward of the case and constricting the passage cross-sectional area of the cold air passage;
An air conditioner for an automobile, wherein the defroster door extends inward of the case, and an inner end thereof protrudes at least to the vicinity of an inner end surface of the throttle part.
