A body door glass holding structure in which a body side weather strip is provided on the body side to prevent the front door and the rear door from being damaged, and each door is held by the body side weather strip when the front door and rear door are closed. It has been known. An example of such a vehicle body door glass holding structure is disclosed in Japanese Utility Model Application Publication No. 60-45272. In this conventional vehicle body door glass holding structure, as shown in FIG. It is held toward the inside of the vehicle by an outer lip 6a (see FIG. 3) of the body side weather strip 6. The rear door glass 7 is held at its upper side 8 toward the inside of the vehicle by the outer lip of a rear body side weather strip disposed along the roof side rail 5, and its holding structure is attached to the front door. It is the same as the holding structure of the upper side part 3 of the glass 1, and to explain with reference to FIG. 3, reference numeral 9 is a rear body side weather strip;
a is its outer lip. Further, as shown in FIG. 5, a body side weather strip 13 having a contact portion 12 that contacts the rear side 10 of the front door glass 1 and the front side 11 of the rear door glass 7 extends along the center pillar 14. It is arranged on the outer surface side.

である。 The above-mentioned outer lips 6a and 9a are designed to compensate for this displacement because negative pressure is generated on the outside of both door glasses 1 and 7 during high-speed driving, and the door glasses are pulled out and displaced in the direction of arrow B in Fig. 3. This is to prevent deterioration of sealing performance and generation of wind noise.

る。[Problems to be solved by the invention] However, when the front door 15 and the rear door 16 are closed, the front door glass 1 is exposed to the front body side weather on two sides of the front pillar 4 and the roof side rail 5. While the front side 2 and upper side 3 of the strip 6 are pressed and held inward by the outer lip 6a of the strip 6, the rear side 17 of the rear door glass 7 is held as shown in FIG. If an outer lip is provided on the rear body side weather strip 9' that contacts the rear body side weather strip 9', the outer lip may be damaged when opening and closing. The outer lips 6a and 9a shown in the figure are not provided, and the structure is such that the rear side 17 of the rear door glass 7 simply contacts the rear body side weather strip 9, which is different from the body door glass of the conventional car body. The holding structure holds the rear door glass 7.
It is inferior to the retention of the front door glass 1, and when driving at high speed, the rear door glass 7 is displaced to the outside of the vehicle.
There is a risk that sealing performance may deteriorate or wind noise may occur.

Since the rear door glass is held by the front door glass, it is possible to ensure the same holding force as the front door glass, and it is possible to prevent deterioration of sealing performance and generation of wind noise.
