  1. 【実用新案登録請求の範囲】 一成分非磁性現像剤を貯留し、該現像剤を現像
    室に補給する交換可能な現像剤補給容器と、現像
    室内に設けられ、感光体の表面に形成された静電
    潜像に現像剤を供給する現像剤担持体とを有する
    現像装置において、 前記現像室内の上部側に現像剤を現像剤補給容
    器へ戻す方向に回転する検知用アジテータを設け
    、該検知用アジテータの負荷を検出してトナーエ
    ンドを検知することを特徴とする現像装置。
