Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a flocked product enhanced in flocking strength by forming a flocked layer on a releasable base material coated with a temporary fastening adhesive and applying or bonding a liquid or softened molding material to the surface having the flocked layer formed thereto of the base material to solidify them same. CONSTITUTION:A 35 wt.% solution of poly n-butyl acrylate in toluol is applied to the surface of paper and this coating layer is electrostatically flocked with a polyamide fiber with 3d, 1mm in an undried state and subsequently dried at 130 deg.C for 5 min to obtain a releasable base material having a flocked layer formed to the surface thereof. Polypropylene is heated and softened in an extrusion molding machine to be extruded in a sheet form and the molded sheet is superposed on the flocked layer on the releasable base material before solidification to be pressed thereto. The whole is cooled after pressing to solidify the polypropylene sheet and toluol is sprayed to the paper bonded to the surface sheet to sufficiently wet poly n-butyl acrylate to lower the flocculating force thereof and, thereafter, the releasable base material is peeled off to obtain a product enhanced in flocking strength.

However, in the conventional manufacturing method described above, for example, when the molding material is made of plastic, there is no suitable adhesive for providing a flocked layer on the surface of the plastic material, and a flocked product with high flocking strength cannot be obtained. This is because thermoplastics require high curing temperatures, which makes it difficult to cure the adhesive sufficiently, and nonpolar plastics such as polyethylene and polypropylene require high curing temperatures. Adhesives that adhere strongly to surfaces are not currently available.

Furthermore, if the molding material is made of a porous material such as cement or gypsum, the adhesive applied to the surface permeates into the molded product, so the amount of adhesive used must be increased.

After solidification, the releasable base material is peeled off. At this time, if the temporary adhesive is an adhesive, it is peeled off as it is or after heating, and in the case of a hot-melt adhesive, it is heated to soften the hot-melt adhesive and then peeled off. In the case of adhesive, the adhesive is dissolved with a solvent and then peeled off. The flocked layer temporarily fixed on the releasable base material in this way is transferred to the surface of the plastic material coating layer, and at this time, part or all of the temporary fixing adhesive is transferred together with the flocked layer.

In order to reduce the cohesive force of the temporary adhesive mentioned above, in the case of pressure-sensitive adhesives or hot-melt adhesives, it is necessary to heat the adhesive at a high temperature to reduce the cohesive force to the extent that it can be transferred, or to reduce the cohesive force by changing the composition. Let me do it. In the case of a soluble adhesive, the adhesive is sufficiently dissolved by a solvent to reduce its cohesive force to the extent that it can be transferred. In this way, a sheet-like plastic material having a flocked layer formed on its surface is obtained. Further, the plastic material may be pressed in a softened state to the flocked layer forming surface of the releasable base material. In this case, the plastic material may be extruded into a sheet and pressed onto the flocked layer forming surface of the releasable base material in a softened state before cooling, or the plastic material may be extruded into a sheet or molded into an appropriate shape. The plastic material may be softened by heating and then crimped.

A liquid or soft molding material is applied or pressed onto a releasable base material on which a flocked layer is formed, or a mold made of a releasable base material on which a flocked layer is formed, or a mold in which a releasable base material is inserted. When a liquid molding material is injected or injected into the flocked layer, the liquid molding material slightly permeates through the surface of the flocked layer, or the softened molding material slightly digs into the surface of the flocked layer.

After the liquid or softened molding material has solidified, if the releasable base material is peeled off from the solidified molding material or molded product, the tips of the flocks forming the flocked layer will be slightly solidified or molded as described above. Since the flock is buried in the surface, it is firmly fixed to the surface of the solidified product or molded product, and in this state, the flocked layer is removed from the solidified product or molded product together with the temporary fixing adhesive from the releasable base material. transferred to the object surface, thus obtaining a flocked product.

Example 1 35% by weight of poly n-butyl methacrylate on the surface of paper
Apply a triol solution of
Electrostatically flocked polyamide flock, then heated at 130'C.
A releasable base material with a flocked layer formed on the surface is obtained by drying for 15 minutes. Polypropylene is heated and softened in an extrusion molding machine and extruded into a sheet, and the sheet is placed on the flocked layer of the releasable film and pressed before solidification. After the polypropylene sheet is cooled and solidified after being suppressed, a triol is sprayed onto the paper that is the base of the releasable substrate adhered to the surface of the sheet to sufficiently wet the polyn-butyl methacrylate, thereby increasing the cohesive force. When the releasable base material is peeled off after lowering the releasable base material, the flocked layer on the releasable base material is transferred to the sheet surface together with a part of the poly n-butyl methacrylate,
The tips of the flocks constituting the flocked layer are slightly embedded from the surface of the sheet. The polypropylene sheet thus obtained has a flocked layer formed on its surface,
It can also be formed into a suitable shape by vacuum forming or the like.

Example 2 A polyethylene melt is applied to the surface of a polyvinyl chloride semi-rigid film, and before the polyethylene is cooled and solidified, acetate flocks are electrostatically flocked, and then the polyvinyl chloride semi-rigid film is heated and softened to form an appropriate shape. Vacuum forming is performed to create a mold with a flocked layer formed on the inner surface. Example 5 The releasable base material obtained in Example 1 was inserted into the cavity of an injection mold, and then a polypropylene melt was injection molded. After molding, the obtained molded product is taken out from the mold and the releasable base material is peeled off in the same manner as in Example 1, and the flocked layer on the releasable base material is partially made of poly n-butyl methacrylate. At the same time, the flocs are transferred to the surface of the molded article, and the tips of the flocks constituting the flocked layer are slightly embedded from the surface of the molded article.

Example 6 A polyethylene melt was applied to the surface of a polyester film, and before the polyethylene was cooled and solidified, 3d and 1
The acetate flock (2) is electrostatically flocked, and then the polyethylene is cooled and solidified at room temperature to obtain a releasable base material with a flocked layer formed on the surface. The releasable base material is inserted into a cavity of a casting mold, and a mixture of a urethane prepolymer and a curing agent is injected into the cavity and cured to obtain a molded article. The molded product is removed from the mold, heated to 170°C to soften the polyethylene releasable base material adhering to the surface of the molded product, and then peeled off. The flocked layer on the base material is transferred to the surface of the molded article together with the polyethylene, and the tips of the flocks constituting the flocked layer are slightly embedded from the surface of the molded article.

Example 7 The releasable base material obtained in Example 3 was inserted into a mold, and then a cement-water mixture was poured into the mold and hardened to obtain a molded product. When the molded product is removed from the mold and the releasable base material is peeled off, the flocked layer on the releasable base material is transferred to the surface of the molded product together with the thermosetting acrylic resin adhesive, forming the flocked layer. The tip of the flock is slightly embedded from the surface of the molded product. Thereafter, the molded product was heated at 150°C for 20
The adhesive is cured by heating for several minutes.
