A shock absorbing steering device comprising a coupling means for coupling a lower part of the displacement support plate to a lower part of the mounting plate part. (2) The shock-absorbing steering device according to claim 1, wherein the coupling means constitutes a height adjustment mechanism that can freely adjust the height position of the steering wheel with respect to the mounting plate. (3) The height adjustment mechanism includes a first elongated hole formed in the support plate portion of the support bracket that is elongated in the vertical direction, an auxiliary plate fixed to the rear surface of the support plate portion at a spaced interval, and this auxiliary plate. A second vertically elongated hole is formed in a part of the plate that is aligned with the first elongated hole, and the vertical hole of the auxiliary plate is inserted through the first and second elongated holes. A spacer externally fitted on the bolt, a press plate externally fitted on the bolt, and screwed onto one end of the bolt, between the bolt protruding from the surface, the auxiliary plate and the support plate part. A fixed nut, a pressing member whose tip abuts against the rear surface of the pressing plate, a tilt lever that swings the pressing member, and a tilt lever provided between the front surface of the nut and the rear edge of the pressing member. The impact-absorbing steering device according to claim 2, comprising a link member. (4) The height adjustment mechanism includes a vertically long elongated hole formed in the support plate of the support bracket, a bolt inserted through the elongate hole and protruding from the vertical surface of the support plate, and the support plate. 3. The press plate according to claim 2, comprising: a pressing plate externally fitted onto the bolt on a side surface of the plate; a nut screwed onto one end of the bolt; and a tilt lever for rotating the nut. Shock absorbing steering device. (5) The height adjustment mechanism is formed on both the left and right edges of the support plate part of the support bracket, and is parallel to each other.
A vertically long elongated hole is formed in each of the pair of bent plate parts, a cylindrical part is formed in the lower end of the displacement support plate in the horizontal direction, and this cylindrical part can be freely displaced only in the axial direction. A bolt is inserted through the bolt, its tip protrudes from the outer surface of one bent plate through one elongated hole, and its head extends outside the other bent plate through the other elongated hole. 3. The shock-absorbing steering device according to claim 2, comprising a nut screwed onto a tip end thereof, and a tilt lever for rotating the nut or the bolt.
