Reference numeral 2 denotes a press molding device comprising a male upper mold 3 and a female lower mold 4 for forming the molded product 1.
The lower mold 4 has a nozzle 6 that supplies a melt 5 of a thermoplastic synthetic resin such as polypropylene approximately in the center.
and an outer peripheral portion 8 having a vertical surface 7. In addition, the upper mold 3 is approximately 0.1 mm larger than the pressing part 9 along the lower mold 4 and the outer peripheral part 8 of the lower mold 4, and the vertical surface 7
It has a mold sealing surface 10 facing the mold. This outer peripheral portion 8 and the mold sealing surface 10 form an outer peripheral end 1' of the molded product 1. Also, upper and lower molds 3 and 4
are fixed to the plates 11, 11' of the hydraulic press. The process of press molding resin in such a conventional configuration will be explained with reference to FIGS. 4 to 6. That is, a certain amount of molten material 5 is supplied between the upper and lower molds 3 and 4 which are in an open state from a nozzle 6 located approximately in the center of the lower mold 4, and then the hydraulic press is operated and the melt is applied to the plates 11 and 11'. The fixed upper and lower molds 3 and 4 are closed to compress the molten material 5 (the state shown in FIG. 3). Even after the upper and lower molds 3 and 4 come into contact (the state shown in FIG. 4), the vertical surface 7 located on the outer peripheral part 8 of the lower mold 4 is approximately lower than the mold sealing surface 10 of the upper mold 4. Since it is 0.1 mm smaller, the vertical surface 7 and the mold sealing surface 10 further compress the molten material 5 while fitting together, and force the molten material 5 to spread within the space between the upper and lower molds 3 and 4. And these upper and lower molds 3 and 4
After cooling while the molds are close to each other, the upper and lower molds 3 and 4 are separated and released to obtain the molded product 1. At this time, the lower mold 4, the outer peripheral part 8, the vertical surface 7, and the upper mold 3
If the clearance with the mold sealing surface 10 is about 0.1 mm or less, the wall resistance of the molten material 5 will be large and the generation of burrs can be prevented.

However, in the case of press molding of resin with such a configuration, even if the occurrence of burrs can be prevented by reducing the clearance between the vertical surface 7 and the mold sealing surface 10 as much as possible, burrs will be generated on the end surface 12 of the molded product 1. I couldn't get rid of the sharp edges. Such sharp edges formed on the end surface of the molded product 1 are dangerous when handling the molded product 1 because they may injure human skin.

Purpose of the Invention The present invention provides a method for forming a molded product such as an evaporating dish used in a refrigerator using a resin press molding device, by providing a smooth concave groove on the outer periphery of the part located at the end surface of the molded product. An object of the present invention is to provide a resin press molding apparatus that can eliminate the edges and obtain the desired molded product.

Composition of the Invention In order to achieve this object, the present invention provides a method for processing when the upper and lower molds are closed and a molten material of thermoplastic synthetic resin such as polypropylene is forced into the upper and lower mold spaces. A smooth groove is formed on the outer peripheral side of the mold sealing surface located at the end surface of the molded product. That is, when the upper and lower molds are closed, the expanded molten material flows along the smooth concave groove at the end surface of the molded product.
This will prevent sharp edges.

A melt 5 of thermoplastic synthetic resin such as polypropylene is supplied between the upper and lower molds 15 and 4 which are in an open state, and then the upper and lower molds 15 and 4 are closed to supply the melt 5.
(state shown in Figure 8). When the molten material 5 is completely filled between the upper and lower molds 15 and 4, mold clamping is completed. At this time, the thickness of the molded product 17 can be controlled by the volume of the supplied melt 5, and when the mold clamping is completed, the groove 14 with a smooth recess formed in the mold sealing surface 16 of the upper mold 15 is The lower part is placed in the same position as the end surface 8 of the outer peripheral part of the lower mold 4 (the state shown in FIG. 9). After cooling, the upper and lower molds 15 and 4 are opened and the molded product 17 is taken out from the molds.

Effects of the Invention As is clear from the above description, the present invention supplies a melt of a thermoplastic synthetic resin such as polypropylene between the upper and lower molds that are in an open state, and then closes the upper and lower molds to Forming a smooth concave groove toward the outer periphery of the mold sealing surface located at the end surface of the molded product at the fitting portion of the upper and lower molds when molding the molten resin by forcing it into the upper and lower mold spaces. This is a resin press molding device that does not require end face treatment through secondary processing, does not produce sharp edges on the end face of the molded product, and produces molded products that are safe to handle.
