る。灯具1の前面には光照射用の開口4が穿設さ
れ、この開口4と対面して定着すべきトナーが転
写された被写紙が移動する。矢印×は被写紙の走
行レベルと方向を示す。この被写紙の流れに対し
て下流側に位置する灯具1の前面にはスリツト状
の第一吸引孔5をフラツシユランプ2と平行に穿
設し、その周囲を板状部材6で囲つて、これによ
つて形成される空所7を排気フアン13等に連通
させておく。この第一吸引孔5の長さは450mmで
あるが、丸孔等を一列に穿設したものでもよい。
そしてスリツト状にしても、丸孔の列にしても、
流れに対する抵抗を考慮して排気フアン13の方
へ向かつて順次スリツトであれば狭く、丸孔であ
れば小さくすると良い。この第一吸引孔5は被写
紙の流れに対して上流側に透明ガラスに向かつて
伸びる傾斜部8を有する樋状部材9で覆われ、こ
の樋状部材9の傾斜部8には、第二吸引孔10が
穿設され、空所7,14は排気フアン13への連
通道以外を囲つて風の流れを第二吸引孔10か
ら、第一吸引孔5を通つて排気できるようにす
る。そして樋状部材9の傾斜部8は透明ガラス1
2の一側端を保持する役目もはたすように、上端
11を開口4を覆う透明ガラス12と間隙なく接
触して保持するようにされている。尚、第二吸引
孔10の形は第一吸引孔5と同様スリツト状であ
つてもよいし多数の小孔が穿設されたものであつ
てもよい。しかして、高速で閃光発光するフラツ
シユランプ2により赤外線を含む光が照射され
て、トナーが定着するが、このとき高速で連続的
に定着されていくため、トナーより大量の煙が発
生する。しかし光が照射されてから煙が発生する
までに、僅かなタイムラグがあるので煙が発生す
る時点ではそのトナーは第二吸引孔10の直下も
しくは近傍に移動しており、発生した煙は第二吸
引孔10によつて効率よく吸引される。従って、
煙に含まれる微粒子も第二吸引孔10によつて効
率よく吸引され、透明ガラス12には殆ど付着せ
ず、高速で連続的に定着しても透明ガラス12が
曇ることがない。このため、透明ガラス12を清
掃する手間が省け、常に大きな光量の光を被写紙
に照射して定着することができる。

ガラスを清掃する手間が省け、しかも樋状部材の
傾斜部で透明ガラスを保持する構造としたので紙
詰まりは起きることはなく、常に大きな光量の光
を被写紙に照射してトナーを定着することが可能
となり、レーザービームプリンターのような高速
プリンターに適したフラツシユ定着装置とするこ
とができる。
