[Detailed Description of the Invention] [Industrial Application Field] The present invention relates to a waterproof sheet for vehicles, and particularly
This invention relates to a vehicle seat in which the jointed part of the skin made of PVC has seams sewn with double stitches and is directly exposed to the outside air.

[Prior Art and its Problems] Generally, when sewing the skin of a vehicle seat with thread, the skin materials to be sewn are sewn together and then double stitched to maintain strength. In the case of such a sewn vehicle seat, water infiltrates through the seamed portions and enters the cushion, causing deterioration of the cushion.

In the case of such a sewn sheet, when double stitching is applied after the joining stitches, bias tape is simultaneously used to sew the sheets. If a fabric is used as the bias tape, this fabric will contain the water that has entered, and the water will enter the interior of the sheet.

Furthermore, even if leather is used as the bias tape, water will seep in through the seams, and the problem of waterproofing will not be solved, as is the case when fabric is used.

[Means for Solving the Problems] A waterproof sheet for a vehicle according to the present invention is a sheet having a seam in which the hooked portion of the outer skin made of PVC is sewn with double stitches, and the hooked portion of the outer skin is made of PVC. It consists of a structure in which powder is applied and then stitched, and the seams are further sealed by heating the jointed parts.

FIG. 1 is a partial cross-sectional view of an embodiment of the seam portion of a vehicle seat according to the present invention. Code 1 is
The epidermis is made of PVC (polyvinyl chloride resin), and the epidermis 1 is made of PVC (polyvinyl chloride resin).
After sewing 1 with seam 2a, fold the tip portions 1a, 1a of each epidermis inward, and stitch the seam portions 2b, 2.
b (dashed line in Figure 2), and at that time, PVC powder 4, 4 is placed between the tip portions 1a, 1a of the epidermis 1, 1 folded inward and the epidermis 1, 1. is applied with an adhesive or the like, and sutured with suture threads 3, 3. Then the first
A hot-melt adhesive H, such as EVA (ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer) resin, special nylon resin, or polyester resin, shown by the chain line in the figure, is applied and welded. With this configuration, the PVC powders 4, 4 are melted and the seam portion is sealed. Further, if a hot melt adhesive is applied to the inside of the seam portion as in this example, a more complete seal can be achieved. By using PVC powder in this way, the seams are welded together with the PVC skin, creating a perfect seal with no unnatural appearance. The PVC powder is welded by a thermal welding method (hereinafter simply referred to as welding) such as internal heating using a high-frequency welder or ultrasonic welder, or external heating using a groove heater.

Figure 3 shows that after the outer skins 1, 1 are sewn at the seams 2, 2 as shown in Figs.
This shows an example in which a waterproof material 6 made of materials such as the above is bonded using an adhesive 5. According to this example, if the plate-shaped waterproof material 6 is attached to the sewn portion, the sewn portion of the plate-shaped waterproof material 6 can be easily sealed with the adhesive 5. As the adhesive 5, it is preferable to use, for example, an emulsion of PVC resin, or a synthetic resin suitable for waterproofing dissolved in an organic solvent such as tetrahydrofura (THF). However, it goes without saying that it is not limited to these.

[Effects of the Invention] As described above, in the waterproof sheet for a vehicle according to the present invention, in a sheet having a seam in which the seam seam part of the outer skin made of PVC is sewn by double stitching, Since you only need to apply PVC powder to the
Unlike PVC solutions, no special solvents are required.
The waterproofing process is extremely easy to perform. and
After applying PVC powder, it is sutured, so
PVC powder gets into the needle hole (stitch) along with the sewing thread when suturing. Furthermore, the PVC powder applied to the seam joints is heated and melted after suturing, preventing water from entering through the seams.
Since the seams of the PVC skin can be sealed by welding the PVC powder, there is no discomfort in the sealing of the seams and the appearance is good.
