Claims (1)

  1. 【実用新案登録請求の範囲】 階調数を入力画像情報よりも減らす階調処理回
    路を含み、該階調処理回路の出力に応じて光書込
    装置を付勢して電荷担持体上に静電潜像を形成し
    該静電潜像を現像して記録画像を形成するととも
    に、前記階調処理回路が、各画素の出力データの
    決定にそれの周辺に位置する画素の情報を反映す
    る処理を実施して３値以上の階調を表す複数ビツ
    トの出力データを生成する、画像形成装置におい
    て： 前記階調処理回路の保持する複数のしきい値の
    互いの数値の間隔を、少なくとも画像の高濃度部
    に対応する領域で低濃度部に対応する領域よりも
    小さく設定した、ことを特徴とする、画像形成装
    置。
