直交流型の熱交換器4において独立したまま熱交
換可能に交差するように箱体状に構成されてい
る。本体1には排気用の通風路2に排気流を形成
する排気送風機5と、給気用の通風路3に給気流
を形成する給気送風機6とが組付けられている。
排気用の通風路2は、その入口端である排気吸込
口7のすぐ下流部にあたる熱交換器4の手前部分
において二系統の風路8,9に分岐している。即
ち室内空気を熱交換器4を通して外気側へ排出す
る第1の送風路としての風路8と、熱交換器4を
通さずに外気側へ排出する第2の送風路としての
風路9である。通風路2が風路8,9に分岐する
分岐部には、駆動モータ10を主体として構成さ
れた駆動装置11によつて回動する切換ダンパ1
2が枢着されている。切換ダンパ12は、ダンパ
板の片面に気密保持のためのクツシヨン材を張設
した回転部をもつ構成で、クツシヨン材側がバイ
パスである風路9の開口部に当接し、該開口部を
閉止している時には風路8が開放され、風路8側
に回動し、風路8内の案内板30に当接して該風
路8を閉止している時には風路9が開放されるよ
う通風路2内に装着されている。本体1の一側中
央には熱交換器4をその小口側から引き出し、或
は差し込んで本体1から脱着し保守点検を実施す
るための角形の蓋付きの点検口13が形成されて

15により切換ダンパ12に連結していて、上記
