法においては燻化ボツクスを被せ外気との接触を
絶つたまま自然放冷を行わせるために11〜13時間
という長時間を必要としており、多数の燻化ボツ
クスが必要であり、またこの間台車を置いておく
ための多くのスペースが必要となる。またこのよ
うな自然放冷後の台車を燻化ボツクス着脱室内に
引き入れて燻化ボツクスを取り外した後、台車を
外部へ引き出した際に400〜450℃の亙が外気によ
つて急冷され、冷め割れを起こすことがしばしば

のように内壁面4と外壁面5との間に内部空間6
が形成された二重壁構造となつており、またその
天井部と側壁部にはこの内部空間6と外気とを連
通させるためのダクト7,8と開閉用のダンパー
9,10とが設けられている。なお内壁面4及び
外壁面5には厚さ25mm程度のフアイバ等の断熱材
を内張りし、適当な保温効果を与えておくものと

る。このように第1図に示されるような二重壁の
燻化ボツクス3を用いれば、従来の自然放冷に比
較して冷却時間を30〜40%も短縮し、7〜10時間
とすることができ、またこれにより台車スペース
も30〜40%削減することが可能となる。しかも燻
化ボツクス3内の亙は全く外気に触れることがな

び燻化ボツクスとして、産業の発明に寄与すると
