Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide a sheetlike unsaturated polyester resin molding material which is excellent in the infiltrability of resin into glass fiber and can give a high-strength molding by using a urethane-modified unsaturated polyester resin as a main component. CONSTITUTION:A urethane-modified unsaturated polyester resin is produced by, for example, reacting a hydroxy-terminated unsaturated polyester resin with a diisocyanate. This resin constituting 50-100wt.% resin component is mixed with necessary additives such as a reinforcement (e.g. glass fiber) and a filler, and the obtained mixture is kneaded and molded into a sheet to produce an unsaturated polyester resin molding material. This material can desirably be used in the fields requiring strengths and durability, such as housing components, building components and sanitary fittings.

、樹脂粘度が高く、補強材としてガラス繊維を多量に用
いるシート状成形材料ではガラス繊維と樹脂との濡れが
悪く、強度向上を阻害する欠点があった。

するところは高強度成形品が得られるシート状の不飽和
ポリエステル樹脂成形材料を提供することにある。

で、以下本発明の詳細な説明する。

本発明に用いるウレタン変性不飽和ポリエステル樹脂は
好ましくは不飽和ポリエステル樹脂の末端が水酸基から
なり、ジイソシアネートでウレタン変性できるものが望
ましいが、特に限定するものではない、ウレタン変性不
飽和ポリエステル樹脂の添加量は成形材料の樹脂全量で
もよいが好ましくは50−100重量%(以下単に%と
記す)であることが望ましい、即ち50%未満では樹脂
としての粘度が低粘度になり難いからである。成形材料
全量中の樹脂量は20〜60%が好ましい、補強材とし
てはガラス繊維、合成繊維、炭素繊維、セラミック繊維
、天然繊維等を用いることができ全量中の補強材量は4
0〜80%が好ましい、充填剤としては炭酸カルシウム
、クレー、シリカ、タルク、水酸化アルミニウム等の無
機粉末充填剤を必要に応じて添加することができる。架
橋剤、離型剤、着色剤、界面活性剤等については通常用
いられているものをそのまま用いることができ、これら
配合材料を混合、混練後、シート状にして不飽和ポリエ
ステル樹脂成形材料とするものである。
